Boo I agree - The real opportunity here is that Kenya is a really stable country politically by comparison with an emerging middle class so I think there will be no shortage of suitors to JV if that is preferred.

Well all I can say is that the broker target price does't seem as bonkers now..albeit the elephant in the room remains about the funding structure ahead but either way with the spot price having broke out of the downward range we could do very well this year!

Prince... The best explanation I ever heard about gold keeping its value was like this; in 1930 you could have a steak dinner in New York and stay overnight in a central city hotel for an once of gold. Today you can do the same... holds value in the long term.

The momentum into gold is really strong. The sell off on 21st November took a month to reverse and the last one took less than two weeks.... just a quirky thought :)

When, and not if gold closes above 1845 then we have a breakout in play and it will be very bullish ...

came back and some...the bad news is that there is a big seller sitting here. I can get 50k worth below the mid price. going to take a while I think to clear them.

thanks for posting Bebold... strange price action today and clearly a largish seller out there but I will happily keep hoovering up the shares... gold on the verge of a upside break out of range now, despite most media commentators claiming piffling interest rate rises are a headwind. alongside one other producer these are my only investments for this year... the rest is cash (60%) and staying that way. GLA

yesterday 60 shares traded to close the day.. today 6000 shares two hours in. You couldn't make this up sooooooo frustrating but it will come good this year albeit slowly :)

As far as the spot price goes I've seen it this volatile.. one thing is certain the dips are being bought quickly...

boo the jobs report doesnt explain it. in fact with gold taking a big hit one would expect the opposite...

thtas was some turnaround on the spot price 100 basis points swing on rising bond yields... gold is going to be the asset class this year to out perform ... me thinks. :)
