I bought both this an AXL this week .. a kind of bonkers hedge if you will. :-)

It seems to be being priced for No divi or a big reduction. Certainly the AUM numbers seem to be on a long downtrend (like other Asset managers). In some way I hope there is no divi and some more details on the turnaround plan. The fact that they have limited or no US centric funds is perhaps a good thing. All up in the air! hence the SP declines in my view.

Well either way they would not put out a higher TP with results due, unless they were pretty certain from a reputational viewpoint that it was going to be backed up.

And they are always the most bearish of broker analysts as well....

You are right of course, however, once this company stops trying to using capex to further organic growth the FCF will lead to some very attractive returns to share holders. In short they have options ahead of them unlike their independant peers in the sector.

Given the last trading update stated that delays to the railway contract CP7 was a primary issue, it may help to see how it has affected different contractors and, also how work is to speed up post April (tax year 2026).

This shares rises. I don't listen the doomsayers I believed and continue to believe that this company can easily navigate a recession environment. It is the one high street (and other locations) shop that people can afford to eat at and know the quality is there. Restaurants, hotels and general retail are in for a torrid time but this an even whetherspoons will do well in my view. Macdonalds shrinkage and pricing is becoming a problem for a lot of people. Only 1% down now after buying all the sell offs but more than happy to hold it for the long term.

They certainly could reduce capex if they so wished and increase cash levels to wait for more favorable market conditions if they had any doubts. Clearly they remain confident, as do I. Although unemployment may rise as companies look to reduce costs I still maintain that those who remain will be increasingly required to attend the work place more and more.

This company is very well run.. we will see how that respond at the next trading update.

Well that didn't go down well... but, at these prices now with a fwd PE so low a slowing growth rate still makes this a bargain in my eyes. Buying ....

The big volumes today (5.67m so far ) with the SP steady indicates a bottom double bottom here... I've bought double my holding so, of course, I am bullish.

Steifel the Broker put out a (downgrade) sell rating today

Or not such a good decision as it happens...Short interest may be looking for an exit now and shares can be overbought for a long time before falling back to still levels above this. We will see..

Just added my monthly top up...biggest holding by a country mile and if it has to wait to May for trading update and a re-rate so be it.

25% fall in five months is a huge change in sentiment; never mind brokers blocking purchases !

The biggest problem this share faces at the moment is possibly that 1.9m hargreaves LN investors cannot reportedly buy shares in this and couple of other trusts (just sell only) something to do with cost disclosure problems associated with FCA guidelines???
