Annual Summary for 2024

The number of individual insolvencies registered in 2024 was 117,947, 14% higher than the 103,434 in 2023. This includes Debt relief orders (DROs) highest annual level since their introduction in 2009, following the abolition of the upfront £90 fee in April 2024, and expansion of the DRO eligibility criteria in June 2024.

The number of individual voluntary arrangements (IVAs) in 2024 was slightly higher than 2023, which saw the lowest annual number of IVAs since 2017. Bankruptcy numbers were similar to 2023, but remained less than half of pre-2020 levels.

In 2024, one in 415 adults in England and Wales entered insolvency (at a rate of 24.1 per 10,000 adults). This is higher than the rate of 21.4 per 10,000 adults (one in 467) who entered insolvency in 2023.

Thankfully no debt at present and with a guidance of £16m cash at year end it is worthy of a decent punt..

That is the problem with this share; traders. The chart is peak and troughs but longer term the trend will change.

They are dong well on the Q&A on the investor meet. The presentation was not that inspiring given the RNS but they are really open to answering questions and sound bullish; even in the US with Pres Trump coming in

It does seem as thou the market sees the potential turnaround in some of the portfolio businesses sales and growth continuing in others, If they maintain financial discipline and don't go mad on the debt side this business could do very well....bought some

One of two things is now to happen here..either we have double bottom and a bullish reversal from 89.4 or we are going to head down to god knows where... sad times

Thanks for your thoughts Dartron. Interesting for sure but the way I see the state of the economy going forward is that the growth in earnings from core business increases should help bolster the SP re-rate over the 12 months irrespective of the acquisition costs already incurred. We will see of course but always good to have a balanced view.

Doubled my holding this morning. Just baffled by the SP since beginning since 1st Oct. It is like the market doesn't believe the forward guidance but I do. just have to re-invest the Dividends as they come at these prices.

I sold out. Took a big loss on this one, gutted but that's investing for you. Under estimated the impact of the budget. Clearly Blackrock et al on the short side didn't. All the best to holders sticking it out.

Trading statement is positive albeit understated. Growth continues but alas some margin squeeze on inevitable government policy. Debt manageable so I am happy.

Been buying tranches for a few days looks like the only growth area in UK business going forward now. looking forward to results and more importantly forward guidance

At this price a 16.4% potential yield is one the market is not buying at all. Lion's immediate problem beside the outflows of AUM is probably a low ball take over offer now.
