Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
A good summary of the meeting and some good points that they should take forward with regards dialogue with the investing community. The issue of the divi does worry me still though, it's cut the share falls and with part of the divi being special it gives them the opportunity to use this as an excuse of general trading conditions. Share Buybacks still rankles me or again it may be how they communicate the use of this cash, currently it is doing nothing. For me I will wait on the year ends and look to see what they do with the divi, long term it sounds good. Once again thank you.
Nice little cameo of the 9 cameras on each of the new route master buses on top gear the other night.
Not sure on accounts so maybe your right but say I have a million in the bank earning 2 percent and I leave it year end I earn 20k, uy my shares back and don't have to pay out 70k and hopefully those shares in treasury are worth more because people believe the money is there and have confidence that I have confidence in the share price. Or I just say you don't understand hong kong regulations. Or we keep doing what we are doing now and watch the share price plummit. Also inflation is running at a damn site more than we are getting for cash sitting in an account with no plan? Not having a go at you mate it just isn't handled very well from the company.
Hi older and wiser, Good points already listed, in addition if you would be kind enough, 1) have they seized/paused buybacks because they believed the share price would go lower? 2) what plans do they have for the capital and as suggested an independent evaluation? 3) why are they holding the capital and getting a derisory percentage when share buybacks reduce a 7/8 percent divi payment 4) why rip up trees for replant action rather than leave them, buy some more land and let new ones develop until they replace the difference 5) do they not believe with all the questions over corporate governance that it would have been better to bring an outside finance man in? 6) how is the juicing plant going 7) where is the pricing power? 8) what plans do they have to increase the share price or are they not bothered? 9) I hope they have no plans to reduce the divi as no one will believe the cash is there and it will bomb 10) what biscuits do they have. On an additional note is this something you have set up individually as I would also appreciate some FaceTime and would be in hug early next year. Much appreciated mate.
I don't think it was highlighted in yesterday's outlook but in earlier rns's the power plant has taken working capital to get started first half in Africa, this is now online and will give a lift going forward. Good to see the cooling aspect improving, goes to show money is being spent in developing countries on something that would normally just be suffered. Apr energy have won some good deals first half this year but I think there is plenty to go round, power is needed for anywhere to develop and the infrastructure takes time to put in. Good luck all, I believe anything under 17 quid and you can't go wrong.
