Fb22, IAG have been working on this for a number of years due to the possibility of brexit. I’ve enclosed a section of an RNS by IAG that shows the non EU shareholders. That leaves the other 60.5% as EU holders. Hope this helps
On 17 January 2020, the share register of IAG shows that ownership of IAG's issued shares by Relevant Non-EU Persons is 39.5 per cent.
As a result, the Permitted Maximum is removed with immediate effect. Any outstanding Affected Share Notices are deemed withdrawn and will have no further effect.
The IAG Board will continue to monitor the Relevant Non-EU Persons ownership level. Under Article 11 of IAG's bylaws, the Board is authorised to re-impose the Permitted Maximum at any time if necessary.
Haha jenn1800 has been gone since the massive rise in SP and the minute it’s on it’s knees she’s back again.
Terminal 4 was already closed you idiot so try not to scare people.
Wouldn’t worry Robby, had a ropey week myself. Bought in to a few stocks on Thursday after noticing the sharp rise the day before. Literally the minute after buying in, the stocks starters dropping like stones.
One stock I purchased is down 10p and I have 40k on it. You can imagine my insides right now :) !
Hold for gold as they say as major investments banks still believe a deal will be found. They have invested billions in to the market on the bull run due to this.
Reading fine print in there that discussions about brexit have been ongoing since 2018. Tells you management have plans in place and are comfortable with the whole brexit situation. Just need to forget about brexit and focus about getting flights and holidays up to full speed again.
BRUSSELS, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Iberia should not have any
problems operating in the European Union's airspace after
Brexit, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez told a news
conference after an EU summit in Brussels.
IAG which owns British Airways, Iberia and Aer
Lingus, is a Spanish-registered company headquartered in
Britain.
"On air transport we've been working for some time, since at
least 2018, as the government, with IAG and with the (European)
commission to find a solution to this problem. And in principle
it's fixed," Sanchez said. "There won't be a problem with Iberia
operating in European airspace after the United Kingdom's exit
from the union."
He did not give any details.

TP, there’s a reason England won’t let Scotland go. It’s the thing that built London called oil. Look at the 80s and look at London now. Oil revenue built that and there is plenty more of that.
62 countries have gained independence from the U.K, why has England got a problem with Scotland gaining its independence and not the other 62?
I agree with Wales, but there is a movement happening now as they don’t seem happy with the way they are being treated and ordered around.
Portland, I disagree in relation to Scotland. England makes its money from London, something that’s going to generate less cash when they leave the EU.
Scotland has some serious natural resources. Oil, water, energy to name a few. Exporting and tourism are also big money makers. Oil will always be around and the majority of it is in Scottish waters.
I find it a little amusing when people say England subsidise Scotland as it’s the opposite way around. Scotland has been paying more capita per head since the 1980s.
I’m just going to throw a spanner in the works. England will be an independent England in the next 5 years, or maybe England and NI.
Scotland will gain independence within a year or two and Wales will follow suit. Brexit was the final nail in the coffin for the so called United Kingdom. Don’t worry though Boris, Cummings and the rest will have made their money out of the sh*t show and so will their donors.
Just remember the cronies heavily bet on a no deal, billions upon billions of pounds. It’s not about fishing and the level playing field, that’s the nationalism jargon they are feeding the public to make them feel ‘proud’ and sovereign.
Guys, I don’t mean to sound harsh but do you really think a hard brexit will affect IAG as a company? It will give the whole markets a shake yes, but in relation to IAG physically it won’t impact them. Bulk of revenue comes from the US and even the European flights, it’s not going to impact them.
Far too much hype being placed on brexit. If you’re in retail, hospitality, etc then yes it will have a big impact, but aviation is safe.
IG, I’ve been in IAG for a long time, don’t act like I’m posted missing in here. Your new to the chat so stop acting like a billy big balls.
Investing is risky. BUT if you wait to get on the news after it’s announced you don’t make money.
Buy on the rumours sell on the news. This will rise, any hint of a full trade deal being reported as complete, by that time it’ll be too late to get on it.
I’m in some serious profit just now, so I think I know what I’m doing, otherwise I would have bailed out already.
IG, I wouldn’t believe one word the express says.
When Sky and the BBC, the governments political propaganda machines are stating the deal is basically done then I’m going to believe it. No one gets closer to the truth than these guys as they set the tone for the “news”.
Hold tight. FTSE going to progress from Fridays afternoon pull back in anticipation of the trade deal.
177 to be broken again tomorrow, let’s see if we can buy pass it to break 180!
Don’t know how I missed this one but business travelers don’t need to isolate upon returning in to the U.K.
That is good news for us, just need covid vaccine approval in US and borders to open in US!

Anapa, what’s your thoughts on the FTSE now breaking 6500? First time since pre covid. Signs that a strong few months ahead? Can’t really rely on chart details with this as it’s been 9 months and something we haven’t encountered before to compare it against.
Personally i see breaking the 6500 as the strong signal that it’s onwards and upwards? What’s your thoughts
