RE: Samsung and The Road Less Travelled7 Mar 2018 22:01
Thanks RC30. I remember the statement, although we have not seen evidence of the ramp up, as yet - perhaps in the next statement hence my caveat. I still think they have been a poor match for NANO, although I do not blame the BoD one bit. To build a factory was a huge commitment and I would have been persuaded to run with and exclusive deal in the circumstances, despite the obvious (and now crystallised) risk.
Several years on, NANO appears to have multiple distribution channels, hence should not dependent upon Dow, Samsung, Wah Hong and possibly not even our sweepstake winner either? Having said that Samsung would be a huge feather in our cap, particularly in terms of credibility.
On the question of Nanosys production, one third is cadmium light rather than CF. Unless it has managed to migrate all production to CF (and it might have), total output in Kg may not hold relevance in a post 2019 world.
I doubt it is possible to mix and match QD from separate manufacturers and NANO tunes QD specifically for each application anyway.
