Speculation yes but I wonder if BT might be in the States preparing the ground for a dual listing on NASDAQ? I believe that may well be the right direction.

Another sharp and sizeable push upwards this afternoon, although no understanding of why just yet. Certainly, nothing to explain in the share trades - all recorded as sales and not large deals.

@LordWM. Lol - no certainties of course but many of us hoping for exactly the same.

@Nanonano.STMicro’s involvement was outed inadvertently by a Deutche Bank analyst a few years back during a live investors meeting. He thought they might be willing to advance NANO a few £m. Otherwise, I doubt there would have been any mention of them?

Hopefully not long now until the first order is announced. Even if modest in size it will be a genuine milestone.

I have to think that oil and gas must be a sound investment bet as political instability increases.

If relations with Iran and Russia continue to head south there could be a crisis from which BOR and all shareholders benefit greatly, via an alternative and plentiful source of resources?

In the absence of orders before Feb 2024, neither a share repurchase nor dividend will have the same value added effect it would have in a firm with a going concern value. I would not be surprised if distribution is delayed until the order is (eventually) received.

I will be enthused only when the first orders are confirmed T, and then only to a level commensurate with the £size of that order, which we have been primed to expect is relatively low😒. If word did leak re the end user being Apple, we would see more value created than otherwise but I doubt we are going to need to calm ourselves down. It looks like it will be a long climb back to 40p and beyond!

More than 2 of the 1300 probably work in the medical profession. Once they become aware of the alternative, it is a ‘no brainer’ which test a medical man will select?

The discussion of contract terms at this stage does seem a little odd as it is taking place before contract validation, when we might have expected terms to be agreed earlier. One possible explanation might be that lower anticipated volumes of Apple headsets (assuming they are end customer) necessitate a different price point for NANO, hence it could reflect a renegotiation of terms by NANO, and the end user is delaying validation to strengthen their negotiating hand?

Me too, and they are probably the obvious candidates. There might be others with even deeper pockets though and I don't think we can discount Samsung entirely?

@Lord WM. It could be that NANO is in a 'closed' period but if so it has been for a good number of months now. Certainly, at the General Meeting, BT was at pains to point out that shareholders should remember NANO is unable to tell everything for reasons of confidentiality, so it is possible.

Hopefully, the positive spin on commercialisation is the correct one. If we can secure a few successful orders, my money is on acquisition thereafter, either by a major that wants to dominate the IR space, or Apple, which wants to dominate certain product markets. They would have until 2028, or indeed beyond to gain a command of the market, since seeding relies upon patents with longer expiry dates and not only those included within PTAB or the court papers.

@Nanonano. You are right there will be a 'tear down' of the Apple device when launched and a search of the STMicro catalogue will provide clues. However, NANO is not going to confirm or deny that any QD inside are their own because it is bound by confidentiality, which is the one thing NANO has been pretty good at. For that reason, I suspect we shall not know for several months post launch.

Quite a few including myself (but not everyone) on the Board would agree with you LordWM. It is interesting that BT mentioned in the presentation that he was surprised anyone was selling at todays level, yet neither he nor the other directors see fit to buy. What are they waiting for? They seem to have deep pockets but short arms and I wonder if that is because they harbour concern over the STMicro contract? For example, they may be concerned that issues with OLED screens for Apple's headset may lead to further delays in its launch ?

In BT's own words, we were valued below cash yesterday, and today we are a further 3.95% below that level. Yesterday's presentation was a little more professional but the damage has already been done, and it looks like knives are out to trim the share price.

I am sure it is too much to ask the Board to accept responsibility but this situation is largely of their making. It seems we need to decide either strap in for the ride, or bail and accept risk of losing out. It is a difficult choice, particularly since BT (understandably) can offer no comfort the share price will not fall further when a cash distribution is made in Feb 2024.

In terms of IR sensor orders, if Apple were the end user, it is unlikely to become public when orders are announced. It will be attributed to STMicro only and together with the relatively small size of the order, it means the meaningful income streams are likely a year or two out from here and probably longer. Is anyone disappointed by this timeline, or are you comfortable to wait it out in the belief it will come good eventually?

No guarantees in life of course but if he does not fully believe in the business and what it can achieve, then is he doing his level best and will he deliver?
