Whilst I appreciate the appraisals, reviews and prep for next seasons drills must be done, the irony is getting rid of Farallon could well create a similar share price re rate as a positive flow test...in my view they really are having that much of a drag. Potential buyers don't have any time pressure as they know Farallon's position will keep the share price stable (can't go too high as they sell into it and probably not too low as they stop the drip drip drip)

14.25 - pre drill was 40 ish, now 30 ish...maybe farallon can’t justify below that but clearly 1-2p over that they sell it down. It’s a massive issue and whilst they are there it won’t rise much and certainly not the levels that some tote. Maybe the next drill season will provide the catalyst to get rid of them...assuming the company doesn’t get taken out by a TO

Difference what it looks like, there always a flat to negative reaction. Appears the only think that drives the share price are anticipation of drills or (not that we’re there yet) flow results...and I’m sure even if we flowed they’d be that ‘well it wasn’t as much as we expected’ attitude. You can’t seem to win.

I think there’s a typo there..you said ‘will’..maybe that should be an ‘if’ or certainly ‘if they get a chance to’ chances are most won’t have the opportunity.

13.50...but over 20% are positioned in the sell side...even you’ve got to admit that’s quite a hill to climb for a share that doesn’t have a great deal of volume. They could do it with block trading or a definitive event...could well happen.
Not sure number of shares makes as much difference as people like to make out , market cap is generally the value attributed.
As everyone including the CEO recognises, someone could block buy out farallon for a modest premium to current and save them the agro, time, friction costs and price volatility. That gives you a lot of power to get past 50% relatively easily and the power to control the company (in the absence of fully owning it)...that’s a situation that lost will not have experienced nor appreciate it but it’s a pretty big risk in my eyes.
I’ve done a little worked on ‘persuaded’ buyouts and asset stripping...it’s completely incomprehensible that someone could buy the old, keep what prospects align to their portfolio and still sell the residual for more than they paid...ie they get the prospects they want for free / net gain.

14.30 - shareholders own a share in the company not any draconian rights over the people or why they make decisions to leave. Often in management jobs you do change every 5 maybe 10 years for new challenges and experiences...it’s only lower jobs that you see people sticking around for 25 years...
Just because society has decided that everything should be public, doesn’t mean it’s right, will occur or you now have a right to an overarching disclosure of everything.
Okay so I’m a shareholder and now l’d like to know what number of shares you owned at every purchase and disposal and at what price as I want to know what circumstances may have driven you to those decisions.

He’s given a reason but you don’t feel that’s comprehensive enough. That’s your issue, not his or the company’s.
Jiddy, you’ll just have to accept that in grander scheme of things (particularly as an ‘observer’) you’re just not that important, as my wishes are not important. Company doesn’t what it does, if you like it hold, if you don’t, don’t hold. It really is that simple. Certain not holding and then demanding explanations is truly absurd.
