Can't see it sinking again quite as quick as that. Nevertheless, Boo has caught the updraft of a relief rally, along with the rest of the market; the underlying economic situation repeatedly fares worse than forecasted.

It's an opportunity, a gift almost: those who bought the recent low could cash out an outstanding profit; long term investors get a chance to exit with modestly reduced losses.

Results in August, along with the usual lighter volumes, portend more sharp movements. That's the magic of the markets.

Market is forward looking and previous earnings or valuations are irrelevant. Current SP is the market's valuation of future expected earnings. Since these have kept deteriorating over the past twelve months, the SP could only ever do the same.

It's even part of the disclaimer of every broker: past performance may not be a guide to future returns...

Think ASOS are scheduled to update this week. If that misses even slightly, there's an easy catalyst for the 40s.
