I agree with your thoughts. What we need is a Typhoon order which seems unlikely with an unreliable partner in Germany who suspend contracts to countries they don't agree with. But I remain hopefull until the end of this year when I will then bail out if nothing changes!
I think we end up with nothing - it goes on to say new investors can invest a minimum of £5000 !
JL - what do you make of that news from Sphere ???
JL - I doubt any company would reply to an individuals investors question except to say to look at the information they already make generally available. So yes maybe you are right we will have to wait till H/Y. More interesting will be today's trades - will there just be a couple of small sells and so back to normal state of affairs for us for the time being !
JL - And now I can sell 140,000 at 6 pence ! Does that mean there are still signs of life in our shares ?
JL - yes wait. And we need somebody else buying shares apart from people on this BB ! Barclays will buy a maximum of 75,000 shares from me at 5.75 today. Fewer than yesterday but not bad. I shall wait though - would rather loose money than miss out !
Rugs. Maybe you are right that they are lowering price to get limit sells. I can never make it out with such fickle trades and being so small. But I was surprised today that they were willing to buy 110,000 shares albeit at a low price of five and a bit pence but then it must mean they will be sold on easily ? So I'm with you - a large buy coming up which will surprise JL and Cellis !
You might be right Cellis but Barclays will now quote to buy 110,000 shares from me when an hour or so ago it was a maximum of 70,000. Sell your bike and get back in !
Yes amazing isn't it Cellis - all sells yesterday and now all buys !
JL - I can sell 70,000 online for a quote of 5.51 with Barclays which quite surprises me as yesterday and Friday I could only get a quote to sell 1000 shares maximum. So what do we make of that - if we were about to go tits up then would the MM's be willing to buy shares ?
Your thoughts Del and JL are interesting reading. I wondered myself what extra funding would mean but as you say if the big investors are still interested then there must be some hope for us yet otherwise there is no hope today in our little plastic box which is P4. The big investors whether Woodford or somebody in addition must see the chance of some step change in take up so I'm sure we'll be around here on this BB for a while yet!
Yes you are reading it correctly. The latest little sell off was a few PI - I doubt they read the small print and if they did I'm sure they know no more about placements than me ! As we know now Sphere is a gamble !!! If you believe Trinity then we will know within weeks about who is buying shares and hopefully we soldier on.. So unless Del tells us otherwise hang in with the Big Boys JL. Shame about Cellis..............
A placing (called a placement in the US) is the issue of new securities, which are sold directly to holders, usually institutions. Unlike a rights issue a placing of shares is not an offer to existing shareholders; simply to any suitable buyers who can be found. The advantage of a placing is that it is a cheap and simple method of raising money. It does not require the paper work and administrative overhead that a rights issue or an open offer does. The shares (or other securities) are simply issued to a small number of new shareholders who are willing to buy substantial amounts of the new shares. Placings can be unfair to existing shareholders by allowing new shareholders to buy shares at a discount to the market price. There are regulatory restrictions on placings that are designed to protect the rights of existing shareholders. However, they are a cheap, fast and simple way of raising money.
Oh good JL - I thought the worse and that you might be hitting another bottle of red after such a torrid day. As for a placement still looking it up but it involves flogging shares to institutions already invested in the company. I guess that's not totally good but at least some must believe there is a future in Sphere. Hang on to that bottle JL - we might need another swig yet !
Nicely spot Del and the reason therefore why we had such an odd RNS. Just goes to show nobody reads the small print haha ! So Cellis has sold out and but JL still around. So is it better news than we first thought or just as bad ?
So JL is there anything positive we can make from this ? At some point Sphere would announce they were raising cash so wouldn't we still have had this latest wave of selling ?
Will Phillips insist on their equipment displaying the P data ? From reading about Phillips Electronic Medical Record systems the screen as such can display data from up to four separate bedside devices. Knowing nothing about this I guess the ability to be able to plug in your medical device to the Phillips information screen has to be good.
No John - not washing my hands yet. I always read 'posts' on here and then just type in 'sell' every now and again on my online stockbroker account to see if I can get a price ! I shall wait till Septembers figures as you all seem to indicate as being the next Sphere 'moment' and then mull over your thoughts ! I am optimistic though !
I think Cellis that price is 'stuck' and has been since 16th June as my Google version has said the same since then too. By the way on Barclays I can flog all my 150,000 shares at 7.73 pence at the moment. Normally they are not interested !
