When does a share continue to go up in a straight line? They always retreat due to so many factors as you know. So this decline from an all time high not surprising. Buy it if you fancy the outlook if not wait and it may go lower who knows!
Well that's a pure guess but with full order books and the boost from Ukraine scenario then the price should go higher. So why not 12 quid or more.
I have held for years myself and now just hoping for the Saudi's to order 48 Typhoons before I finally bail out. Or I might hold some for Tempest in the future. The future looks bright to me !
Anybody listen to that ? One question at the end re Saudi market and Typhoons - the short answer given was the importance of Saudi and that they 'were developing a couple of quite significant opportunities there'.
Maybe that M.O.U. for 48 Typhoons signed in 2018 is not dead after all !
Yes you are right Waccybaccy - few arms used in Ukraine are from BAe and are unlikely ever to be. BAe is about aircraft and ships which will not be involved. Sales and share price return will come from existing markets in the USA, Australia and the Middle East .

OK I always look for stories on future Typhoon orders but maybe this one might finally materialize.
S.P. finished Friday on a strong note partly attributed to JP Morgan upgrade who said:
'We also see potential for further upside if there is an improvement in market conditions in Saudi Arabia and from higher UK defense spending'.
Now forecasts may never be met and I get increased UK defense spending but I find the reference to Saudi interesting. I understand from Wikipedia that they still fly a lot of older aircraft. And BAe sales in Saudi are mainly Typhoon related. Which leaves me to hope that as the Saudi's have a lot more spare cash from higher oil prices, and aircraft that are at end of life, then maybe that elusive 48 Typhoon deal might just happen. I shall hold my remaining shares for a further 6 months after which I shall switch to Greggs!
I agree with you Gerry557 - I think the jump in price was an over reaction. That's the type of price increase you get if you sell 48 Typhoon's but we have sold nothing yet ! So I too bailed out, price too good to resist.
You are correct Paul2566 the markets will go on and share price will go up.
Next up for BAe will be any change to their contract with Tornado support in Saudi. From the last Interim Report 'negotiations on the next five-year Saudi British Defence Co-operation Programme Funding Arrangement have commenced between the UK and Saudi Arabian government' . Reading the report I understand that contract expires end of Dec 2021 so just weeks away now.
Perhaps there is a chance of something new contract wise, wringing out a few more extra millions before this old generation aircraft is eventually retired.
I have been holding out for a follow on Typhoon order but perhaps time is running out on that one due to German political issues. However, I read that Saudi is hosting a 'World Defense Show' in March 2022. Maybe if things change they might splash some cash at their own event!
Yes things are quiet. But a bit of building work seems to be going on. Might lead to something....

Yes you got in at a nice price.
As for any news well that as we all know drops without per-announcement however reading the Interim Report the Saudi contract is being re-negotiated:
'Negotiations on the next five-year Saudi British Defence Co-operation Programme Funding Arrangement have commenced between the UK and Saudi Arabian governments, with representation from relevant UK government and BAE Systems stakeholders'.
Prediction for share price in next 12 months - well if Germany were to budge on their export license issue with the Saudi's then who knows. Maybe a Typhoon order would be back on the cards!
No news but I understand from reading the annual report this contract looks like it needs resigning........The Saudi British Defence Co-operation Programme five-year funding agreement through to 2021 comprises a number of contracts, including support to the Tornado fleet and provision of training for the Royal Saudi Air Force, as well as engineering and logistics.
No I can't pretend I know anything about Lockheed v BAe. BAe is however nicely in trenched in the USA in both F35 avionics, ships and vehicles. Personally I hold BAe for one thing and that is a Typhoon order. That would make your share price rise!
