Let’s hope Sidara do offer less, WG can then focus on the business which is better than selling.

The proposal is 85p, this is split into a cash injection and 35p for shareholders.

There will be another interested party who will offer min 90p directly to shareholders based on the long term prospects of WG.

Companies/VC’s don’t invest millions for a 12 or 24 month return, it will be takeover on it’s long term strategy.

Yes think it will, not just the Middle East but Asia, there is a real intensity now in renewables and new infrastructure projects which cover various sectors, transportation, energy, water management, and digital infrastructure,.

This together with managing operations and implementing new systems that are required in the oil and gas industry can only be a good thing for WG.

The Middle East is currently undergoing a massive wave of infrastructure development, driven by ambitious national plans and a desire to diversify economies beyond oil. These projects include mega-cities like NEOM and Qiddiya, along with significant expansions of existing infrastructure like airports, railways, and ports. Additionally, there's a focus on sustainable solutions like renewable energy projects and water management initiatives.

WG will be involved in many of these projects, it can do this without Sidara, those who quote administration are so wrong.

WG doesn’t need the cash injection, it can resolve this itself, if Sidara should offer all of the 85p to shareholder

My guess is that YE results may force Sidara’s to revaluate the bid split, cash/ ps.

It probably thought that by stating that it could possibly inject $450m cash into the business if conditions were met, this amount would be very tempting to get it over the line, however if the share price re-rates quickly on better than expected results which I believe it will do, then this could get very interesting especially as another bidder may be waiting to see what Sidara‘s firm bid is.

TotalEnergies has signed a Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Ksi Lisims LNG for the purchase of 2 MMtpa of LNG for 20 years from the future liquefaction plant, subject to the final investment decision of the project.

In parallel, TotalEnergies acquires a 5% stake in Western LNG, the developer, shareholder, and future operator of the Ksi Lisims LNG project.
