Great interview and it certainly sounds promising.
A few points stuck out for me though.
Once upon a time, a long time ago, there lived a man called Adam, and he said we have a commercial fuel cell system and we just need a bit of time to containerise it.
It never happened.
Why ?
The reply was ‘we had a piping issue’
So, will AFC have problems again, they talk like containerising is easy but clearly it isn’t.
So will they actually be able to containerise the cracker was my immediate thought.
2nd point, Mike mentioned very early in his career he realised it’s very difficult to get hold of hydrogen.
When I submitted this question to one of the capital markets events, conman Bond answered it with a wave of his hand and said ‘look children, Hydrogen is everywhere, it’s the most abundant element in the universe, don’t worry about such silly things’…and then he bought the hydrogen ice cream van delivery truck to drive round the country.
3rd is the point that 5 years ago when we we’re supposedly ‘on the cusp’ we’re now told we were nowhere near as good as competing technologies like PEM.
And finally, he reminded us that in previous fundraisers they had made institutions a lot of money, without adding’ at existing shareholders expense’
