2025 is the planned deadline for all coal burning power stations to be shut down not all fossil fuels, gas is currently the major fuel source for power stations in the uk. Without gas we really would be in trouble.

Wouldn’t it depend on the type of ownership that AFC have ? So if W2T do a placing, if AFC’s % of ownership stays the same then by default the number of shares they own would also increase ? It’s all hypothetical anyway as W2T are no closer to commercialisation as we are.

To release an RNS where there is no ambiguity. Why do we constantly have to analyse every RNS to try to fathom exactly where we’re at ? Is there anyone at AFC that understands the English language and can word an RNS clearly ? Seeing as it’s now clear AFC follow this forum maybe someone from AFC would like to comment whether we have actually appointed advanced plastics as the mass manufacturer.

The design isn't finished yet as it hasn't been designed for mass manufacture yet which will change the final design, this may lead to a reduction in efficiency and therefore another redesign.

Surely this is a backward step, not long ago we were told AFC were finalising work to containerise the system, now we’re being told it still isn’t ready, they haven’t chosen a flow plate manufacturer, the design isn’t finished etc etc

Sounds like more BS to me,stalling tactics. It states they are in the running, they haven’t even been chosen but are the preferred manufacturer. A pointless news release.

I fail to see the AFC cha2rge competing in areas where there is already grid electricity. Wind or solar would be the more likely option to provide additional power as its free, once the systems are in place they are virtually maintenance free and don't require several tankers of hydrogen every day to refill them.

Klunk, the limiting factor is the amount of hydrogen needed for refuelling the fuel stations, will be much more frequent than for petrol stations

i've just put together from the RNS's on this project -

Thu, 12th Jul 2018 - Project to be delivered in the first half of 2019.

Thu, 26th Jul - We expect this initial engineering work to be concluded by late September / early October 2018 following which we will proceed to a confirmed purchase order for the installation of the system which we expect to be fully installed and available for operation and supply of clean energy to the Southern Oil refinery by the end of the first half 2019.

Thu, 1st Nov 2018 - We continue to collaborate closely with Southern Oil's technical team to ensure AFC Energy's fuel cell is fully operational within the timeframe of their advanced bio-refinery, expected to be mid 2019.

So not long to go now before we have news that this has been completed.

We should be in a strong bargaining position with the EU to the tune of £350 million a week. Give us what we want or we stop paying in. It always seemed that the UK was the only country that followed the rules, France and Germany could break the rules without any consequence. Rather than a vote we needed a strong leader who stood up to the EU and negotiated better. Love her or hate her, Margaret Thatcher negotiated the rebate. I’m sure if we weren’t paying so much money in to the EU the majority of the UK would have been happy to remain.
