I’ve worked for several companies that do just that including the one I’m at now, but I’ve never seen anything quite like trying to enter a market where we were told by the CEO that there is ‘free’ surplus hydrogen feedstock to then be told it’s not free after all and the system doesn’t work and that 1gW by 2020 is now history. How long will it be exactly before AFC have 1gW of installed capacity ?

How long can you keep rewarding failure ?

To prove the technology Bumble ? To prove that a system on a site powered by hydrogen produces the same electric that comes out of a 13A socket ? That could have been proven 3 years ago, not at 1 minute to midnight.

Maybe one day the Uber positive rose tinted spectacle wearing rampers might just admit that Bond has failed big time by not being able to sell a single unit for charging EVs since launching the worlds first hydrogen powered EV charger. And in doing so his reputation and that of AFCs has been damaged. How many times have I heard a bit more patience is required ? Too many.

Nobody is expecting news any time soon, the can hasn’t been kicked down the road this time, it’s been booted harder than Harry Kanes penalty kick, come back in 12 months and we might have some sales. We might.

This was over 3 years ago now, I remember after the Dunsfold dash and we still had no sales a few months later someone said give them time. This is what happens when you give Bond time - nothing !

I agree Ogggs, the rhetoric has gone from Bond, ie how best to announce the order book, 50+ qualified leads etc, and now people know the reality. The products we have available now are too expensive, they cost too much to build and take too long to build, the hydrogen is too expensive hence why Bond keeps liking posts about the increase in volume of hydrogen production.

It’s another sad state of affairs but yet again for the 3rd time now it’s back to the drawing board, with the exception of a few power tower rentals.

The large drop today is exactly the reaction to the new broker note, 184p that Haggis said WAS the DCF valuation, the brokers are in constant communication with AFC and KNOW EXACTLY WHATS GOING ON.

No wonder Haggis has disappeared again out of another embarrassing episode.

MadTitan it sounds like you are feeling quite insecure and need reassurance from fellow investors that you’ve made the right decision to invest, especially with Haggis gone awol again.

Despite a supposedly record year last year the SP remains stubbornly low, so can you actually believe a word AB says ? Surely if last year had been a record year the SP would have responded accordingly ?

There’s 3 reasons why it hasn’t, poor uptake of the power tower because they are the wrong shape and too low power (again this is the result of AB thinking he knows what the market wants without actually asking the market, a repeat of the southern oil fiasco), dwindling cash in the bank with no sign of revenue any time soon (AB said we’d be on the hockey stick curve in 3-5 years) so another one or two fundraisers will probably be needed, and three, the big £4m sale will be a loss leader due to now only receiving 50% of the original price.

If AB had trust in the power tower they would have built them for stock but they’ve said they have no stock and if they receive a large order at the end of this year they won’t be built and shipped until 2024, doesn’t exactly instil confidence does it !

How much does 1 kg of hydrogen cost UK?

According to Bond it’s £25 per kg in the uk and 6-8 euros in Spain.

According to google 1kg of hydrogen in the uk costs £12.

But anyhow, when asked about how soon would we see hire companies placing orders he said the barrier was the cost of hydrogen in the uk, however the question didn’t specify uk hire companies so therefore why aren’t Spanish hire companies falling over themselves to place orders ?

ABB contract was changed so we get the £4m in the bank sooner, is that a joke ? We have £40m in the bank so cash flow is clearly not an issue, they must think we’re stupid, ABB have all the leverage because we have no sales.

No mention of data centres at all despite Robin joining from ABBs data centre division.

So they designed and the the power towers, they take too long to build and cost too much to build, they rent one to Acciona and rather than ask them after a month what they think they wait 3 months to then be told they’re not powerful enough and they’re the wrong shape.

Previous fundraisers pre the ABB ones have been for manufacturing scale up and putting systems on shelves, now they’re saying they are evaluating the manufacturing process and may just outsource as it makes no sense to spend all that money on automation.

So many millions wasted but it looks like we’ll get there eventually, in 3-5 years time. Low hanging fruit mentioned yet again too lol.

I am a shareholder so you Red Hornet are actually the one spouting rubbish, I’ll report your post as it’s libellous.
I can’t make tomorrow as I’m interviewing, yes I could have gone to the AGM but I wouldn’t want to waste a day’s holidays and diesel to get there when it’s clear that nothing comes from it. I will submit some questions in advance of tomorrow’s Q&A as I have done in previous years, I doubt you will though and are just here to simply name call, such a worthwhile pastime.

I expect there was lots of talk about Altaaqa during the AGM, especially as AFC are focussing on the construction sector and in particular equipment rental companies so there must have been a lot to report on this long term partnership, ie how many 50kw & 100kw systems do they want ?

I don’t think we need to worry about running out of warehouse space just yet with only 8000hrs power tower rental and a 50kw system for Acciona booked in the last 6 months.

It would have to be retendered as it’s a different product with a different price tag, however, it begs the question that if the 100kw was delivered in October last year why hasn’t it been retendered already ? I suspect Bond knows but doesn’t want to give out bad news at an AGM.
