Next years revenue is based on power tower sales, this isn’t fiction, Bond has actually said they take too long to build, they cost too much to build, the cost of hydrogen is too expensive so if you put all that together the future isn’t bright. If they produce the 30kw version for Acciona which is what we should have had initially we have a chance but you are well aware of AFC glacial timelines.

Market cap today is £150m at sp of 18p, x5 for £1 equals £750m which is pretty close to the 1bn that I guessed from past valuations - you poor loser.

A current valuation based on future sales just like the last one. You don’t seriously think a company with £600k turnover (not profit) should have a ‘current’ valuation of £1bn ?

The power tower trials have probably finished with most of the customers by now and not a single order, there’s one bit of repeat business which is an extended rental.

No one is going to want a tower running on methanol, not that long ago Bond said in an interview that hydrogen was the most abundant element in the world indicating that you could get hold of it easily yet now they are pushing the ammonia cracker because quite often it’s hard to source hydrogen ! Total incompetence ! Oh and hydrogen is too expensive in the uk, the power towers are not powerful enough and the wrong shape because they could fall over on a forklift on bumpy ground - such as a building site !

I posted a link to a fuel cell generator designed by General Motors over a year ago and funnily enough it produced around 30kva, was diesel generator shape and was on wheels so it could be towed behind a van ! If only we had one of those !

The ABB order we should have banked £4m from that order but it’s now looking like £600k, that has been a dazaster as Haggis would say !

A), b), and c) are all ridiculous. There is no emergent product. They’ve come up with a new platform, AFCs favourite new buzzword. Think of a concept car, that’s all it is. It’s like starting a new company with a new product from scratch, and bearing in mind AFC has been going over 15 years and still made a pittance in revenue that gives you an idea of timescale to bring a product to market. The Japanese however, having visited, will probably have something out next year.

In the Q&A Bond mentioned one of the main barriers to market entry in the UK was the cost of hydrogen in the UK at £25 per kg. From S&P Global, I’ll just leave this here to ponder…

Market price indications

Market-based pricing indications started to emerge, with project developers who can source power directly or secure long-term power purchase agreements tapping into costs well below grid-based market indications.

At the start of January, Portugal announced a tender for 120 GWh/year of renewable hydrogen, with a first auction to take place in the second half of 2023.

Price ceilings in the auctions have been set at Eur127.00/MWh ($135/MWh) for hydrogen, which converts to Eur3.81/kg.

Producers will compete to sell output to a central buyer on 10-year contracts. That will be the last resort gas shipper in Portugal, Galp.

Meanwhile, Octopus Hydrogen is marketing its supplies in the UK at prices starting from GBP5.30/kg ($6.5/kg), delivered.

And in 2022 only £600k has been recognised (earned) and £0 to be recognised for 2023 according to Zeus. So £600k recognised from a £4m contract, great work AFC.

Maybe they could turn the hangar into a museum, there’s plenty of old kit in the car park that was built but never sold.

Those long lead times haven’t just happened overnight, it’s been building for years and AFC still can’t get any traction.
