The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
The 30kw system and the 200kw S+ and the methanol fuel tower are still showing as coming soon, not listed as available to buy now, are AFC not confident enough to take orders for them ? Why aren’t they taking orders ? If I placed an order for 10 x 200kw systems by the time all the materials were procured and delivered the first system would have got CE approval.
While AFC are busy helping companies greenwashing they’ve also done a great job brainwashing you too. You still can’t see that genuine investors that have been here over 10 years are starting to get a teeny weeny bit peed off that there is STILL zero commercial traction. Anyway, AFC have less than 5 months to deliver the first £2.7m of power towers to Speedy, that’s a hell of a lot of towers, the 3 or 4 you see in the warehouse isn’t going to cut it. Where are they being built ? There is no mass manufacturing agreement and even if they did there wouldn’t be time to make them all.
Git, you’re a factor of 10 out, it was 8000hrs of power tower rental, that is likely to be the only actual commercial revenue for all of last year.
In other news, it seems Speedy got what they wanted out of the partnership without even hiring a unit out !
We are delighted to announce that Speedy has achieved a CDP A- score for carbon reduction, an improvement from our score last year, which was a B. This demonstrates our commitment, transparency, and performance on climate change. 🥳🌍
Commitment to meaningful and measurable environmental action is more critical than ever, which is why Speedy disclosed through CDP in 2023. Along with 23,000+ companies, we are harnessing the power of our data through transparency and accountability to set a course to a sustainable future. 🟢
Amazing day at AFC Energy with the team from Balfour Beatty plc today diving into hydrogen and battery storage power solutions. All part of our joint venture, Speedy Hydrogen Solutions.
Today we saw incredible technology that is paving the way for a greener future in construction and many other applications.

Great to have the Balfour Beatty plc and Speedy Services teams on site today to witness first hand our new 30kW H Power Generators working in advance of field deployments.
Another way #hydrogen is being used to support the decarbonisation of industry.
Thanks Jack Evans for your message.

Hydrogen Energy
AFC Energy is a team of energy-tech pioneers on a mission to replace fossil fuel generation with hydrogen fuel cells. For over a decade AFC Energy has been using their engineering knowhow, technology patents and shared vision to develop clean energy technology.
Hydrogen is the simplest, cleanest and most abundant element in the universe. Fuel cells generate electricity through an electro-chemical process that combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce pure water as a by-product.
A fuel cell converts the energy stored in hydrogen into useable power. The fuel cell uses three main components: two electrodes called an anode and a cathode, and an ion conducting electrolyte. Ions are atoms with negative or positive charge.

BMW aims to deliver hydrogen cars as soon as 2025. As BMW CEO Oliver Zipse announced, hydrogen engines will play an essential role in many regions of the world in the long run.
So what do you think contractors would rather have on the construction site, a fuel cell or a generator identical to the diesel ones they already use but powered by hydrogen ?
AFC have a year then it could be game over for the construction market at least.
October 2018 ! Preparing for commercial roll out !
AFC Energy has now successfully concluded the majority of engineering design to bring to market its first commercial fuel cell system. The system will have a low cost per kWh compared to alternative generating systems, partially as a result of its ability to use lower quality and less expensive hydrogen sources.
In building its Go-to-Market strategy, AFC Energy has been working with a leading clean-tech specialist consultancy to leverage existing commercial activities and establish alternative distribution channels to accelerate future growth. Strong emphasis is being placed by the Company on preparation for commercial deployment and the strengthening of its supply chain in response to the Southern Oil order in Australia and growing interest for fuel cell systems from potential customers in Japan (and other interest from the APAC region).
Construcivenews, we’re only just out of the R&D phase ?
So why 6 YEARS AGO did John Rennocks state ‘we are commercial’ ?
John Rennocks, chairman of AFC Energy, said: "The timing of the move into production could not be better; the world is crying out for stable, reliable, affordable and clean energy. Whether it is an office complex that fears a utility outage, a construction site, a datacentre or a remote village that has never experienced reliable electrical power; all share the same fundamental need for clean, reliable and affordable energy."
Are you sure Constructivenews ? The SP now, 18 years after flotation is less than the flotation price, so please explain exactly what isn’t working ? Maybe it’s AFC and the management that aren’t working ?
It is also seeking to secure its supply chain ffs, how many times have we heard that ? Fundraisers for ‘putting systems on shelves’, cost reduction exercises during lockdown, ‘we are purchasing long lead time items’, etc etc and now at the eleventh hour when the product is commercial roll out ready we hear that they still haven’t secured their supply chain, very worrying
Sorry but that whole article is a joke, if anything it’s very negative for AFC…who goes to hire a generator and asks if it’s your own platform and packaging lol 😂. In an abundant market of hydrogen fuel cell generators, yep lost that first mover advantage years ago…hydrogen still not easily available…but it’s ok we’ve got a converted ice cream van that’s going to do a tour of Britain refuelling all the generators…AFC has a vision of displacing diesel generators, yep it’s still just a vision…AFC greatly anticipate the 30 and 200kw units, yep we’ve been greatly anticipating them for several years, why not give an indication of when ? In the coming year ? So December then knowing Slowy Bond. Rampers you need to do better C-
