right having said i thought 16.50 was the bottom here and as usual been proved wrong ever since, im going to try a bit of reverse psychology. So I recon this share is going to plummet to threepence, and struggle to maintain that for ten years at least. There thats been said so hopefully things will pick up (although i still think these are cheap and am surprised the buyback isnt having a more posative effect, just dont say it out loud). Fingers crossed.

anybody any idea on what these are likely to be? i understand the cornwall council are obliged to keep quiet i think until around the first week in March. just wondering if likely to be thousands, tens of thousands or hundreds.

does make you wonder doesnt it. if they cant manage to do/oversee the books correctly (hardly any unexpected hurdles to fall over in that task) i wonder how sh7t they are at running an actual mine.

just got a few here, 6000 odd, bought as a speculative 'value' purchase with some oiliy divis. Happy to sit on them for a few of years if required and wait for recovery to more reasonable levels. Companies not going anywhere, may double up if they head to the 120's. Gla

noted a news item on LSE site last night, Rya whilst talking to unions etc dont seem willing to talk the a collection of different ones about a multi site deal or something. click on the "news" tab at the top of lse and go back to yesterday for the fully details. i would paste them but im a clueless ipad user.

it certainly does make good sense to step in when a JV partner disappears as it ensures any 'separate' contract can continue with reduced disruption, to your own established contract where work is dovetailed. although i also beleive it to be a Carillion type folly to just take on a failed companies low margin contract, in addition to your own, within such a short timescale without a sensible margin to provide a buffer. i hope Haydn is true to his comment and has took this precaution.

Kier CEO Haydn Mursell on teletext saying "other firms would be daft to pick up Carillions projects under current contract terms" id be happy with hearing this as its exactly what my own thoughts would be. however didint Kiers take on some of Carillions work only the day after they went bump?. if memory serves me correctly id be interested to know on what terms this work was took on. There certainly wouldnt have been time to renegiotiate it.

I for one welcome your points, well informed informative and thought through in the main, would be interesting to hear your views on other companies -without any cross posting their would be no means to do this. so i choose to share to aid others who may be interested. if people aren't then they are equally free to skip over and ignore them. were all here to make money after all.
