and we all have our different ways to gamble, because thats what it realy is, our hard earned cash. Nobody KNOWS whats going to happen in the future. Some use charts and tech analysis, some use fundementals, some use previous history, some guess and some decide Morrisons is empty and deduce they are doing badly etc etc. Each to their own, life is far to short for ****g1ng each others methods off. Use the ones you favour personally and let everybody else do the same without insults. Anybody can say a share is 'good value' has 'excellent fundementals' is 'technically over/under sold' etc etc, but they are all guessing, simple as. and that is the only fact in investing.

A couple of key finance announcements due this week from the us and uk, so likely to be getting thrown into the mix, as well as the dollar/pound rates and ego flexing. it all keeps life interesting though and certainly shows what a small world we all live in. chuck a stone in a puddle in one country and the ripples spread to the rest. im very heavy in both bp and rdsb, primarily for the long term income divi's so dont really fret over the price fluctuation, although since the �5.30/�25 recnet highs im down figures. thing with oil it always comes back as it makes the world turn.

a ton of cash out of russia but rdsb are also down by a similar percentage today, so unless they are also reliant on russia (i have no idea) then it may be another factor partly responsable. Although i have some reservations about pining the drop soley on russia and our possible 'sanctions' on the country affecting relationships, i think the UK is trying to punch above its weight in tackling such a huge powerful country. They arent bothered about the piddly UK one bit in reality and can hurt us much more if they wanted. most of this sort of play acting comes down to the leaders ego's and the need to be seen to be doing something, even if its ineffectual window dressing and posturing, which i see this as. Do the uk really care about a couple of poisoned ex russian spys?, not realy. they just have to be 'seen' to stand up the the fact it happened here.

that an agreement was signed on saturday by some pilot representing unions that could lead to coordinated action when negotiating with the company. have a read on the news tab under reuters. sounds like Mikey will be earning his wages - hopefully they'll send the office cleaner to negiotiate instead though.

a good one to trade today, 1030 down to 960 back to 990. suppose taking the divi off would take it back to 972, so still the higher side of todays lowest price. My boys are currently producing more holes than the swiss cheese industry, they are flat out and will be for a few months yet playing catch up.

not the most reactive moving share on the market and a top divi every 3 months providing a nice cushion to most negatative news. Wont get rich quick here but wont get poor either.

agree with Monte. all sorts of investors out there, and value investing is just as good as the rest, done well and badly with 'guessing' myself just as i have with Tech analysis fundementals, candles charts and all the other stuff. in fact i think value investors who are prepared to take a longer term view of a company provide a good balance to short termers and shorters giving the markets an element of stability and steady growth. Whatever floats your boat, but good luck to him.

reading the same article it seems Trump is trying to ensure that airlines flying between the uk and usa are majority owned by shareholders in either country. now the conspiracy theory in my head is wondering whether this is the real reason why Rya are reducing shares in issue by their cancellation policy, whilst at the same time Capital are increasing their %, funnily enough held in the Usa. would also explain the struggling SP despite both of these posative (usually) items?. Any thoughts those more clued up with airlines.

jesus what is this? think of a number any number, change your mind, think of a different number, change mind then buy anyway but look to average down! why not just guess its pretty much the same thing. Only thing that makes any sense here is agreement that this is a good share for the long term, given a top divi along the way.
