Just got back from watching a well attended parade along the High St, well done Newquay, as usual.

George, Electric is by far the most efficent source of heat, in that all of the power used is converted to heat, there is no wasted energy. The trouble is the base unit cost of the fuel is expensive, so despite being 100% efficent physically, they are not efficent at all in cost effect terms. Gas is definately the way to go, even though those appliances are not 100% efficent (heat wasted through the flue gases).
Does the orangery attach to a wall of your house where there is an existing radiator or circulation pipe that you could connect onto? Ive found over the years that such a wall is the best place to site radiators as the wall tends to be full height instead of a dwarf wall, so it allows bigger radiators to be installed a lot neater and with less pipework on show, just a thought. Always tricky to offer much advice without seeing 'the job' but maybe a good idea to bring plans with you to Coventry?

I had a bloke round once to quote me for a tennis court, he uummmed and arrred, tutted and came out with the usual "this is gonna be a big job" "i need to get specalist plant in" etc etc. Spent ages trying to get him to commit to a timescale and a price. In the end i told him to bugger off and stop wasting my time - did live in a 7th floor flat at the time though :) :)

george, definately go gas rather than electric, theres always a way its just some plumbers are to lazy to work for the money and want a simple 'in out' job. Not put many radiators in Orangerys, done loads in your average conservatorys however, dont see a lot of difference except potentially for size, but there will be some online Btu calculators on the net im sure that you could calculate from if you have the dimensions. Also not sure what hearing system you have in the house, but would be wise to keep the orangery on a separate zone if at all possible, not 100% if building regs make that a requirement still.
When i was out and about with my tools in years gone by, the main gripe customers had was always timekeeping and reliability, if your not 5 mins early then in my book your late.

George. Jmo was the master of tech analysis. He got realy wound up by some of the politics stuff when he started posting on the lloy board, ended up leaving lse. I think someone on here is still in touch with him outside of lse but cant remember who.

used to like reading Jmo's postings, a very clever bloke he is. Sucked up as much as i could, watched youtube clips, bought books, used the TA stuff availible on HL etc . . . .but still couldnt make any sense of any of it, kind of gave up in the end, other priorities came to the forefront.
