i had an extended journey back billy. Visited the QE hospital in Brum as my mom booked in for cataract op this morning, went back to hers with her in Evesham once discharged, then onto my sisters in the Cotswolds swopping chrimbo pressies, then over to Bromsgrove to pick up a load of oak from my uncle, then dragged that home. Wood can stay on the trailer tonight cos im battered.

its certainly an interesting conundrum isnt it. We dont make a lot physically in the UK these days, income tends to be finance (generally additional money earner) or service industry (recycled money changing hands), so i agree partly with what you say. I do beleive though that the UK is much more capable than we've all been led to beleive, and that we could do better if encouraged. So whilst not sure we will thrive in the very short term, i have complete faith with some decent leadership (lacking usually i know) and more flexability we could rebase our economy onto a more sustainable productive footing and be much better for it in a couple of years or so.

i very much doubt it too Craig, bet the staff are pleased to be getting back to the usual peaceful routine. Barman was complaining he'd got rsi in his pint pulling arm!

thats was a trek, just walked in the door. Must get a better 'old banger' with a bit more go in it.

Great weekend guys, was a pleasure to see each and everyone of you and put a name and face to the forum names. Hopefully the hotel management will of been able to source enough alcohol to restock the cellar in time for tonights guests.

see NG and SSE have moved their corporate ownership offshore today to ensure, if nationalised, investors are protected. Will be seeing a lot more of that ithink.

billy, hear what your saying and your not wrong, all opinions contrary or otherwise are welcomed, but personal attacks and continual childish digs are just not acceptable to most people.
