To expensive though and replacement batteries (for all evs) cost far to much and are needed far too quickly.
As for range, no good to me either, im off on a single day trip from deepest darkest cornwall to sutton coldfield, round brum, evesham then redditch then home on saturday total of about 600 miles. Would need 3 charge ups to do that instead of one tank of diesel.
Good for local or city driving but no use for anything else. like you billy 600miles for £20 and id consider a cheap one, but not something costing 50k plus.

Brother in law has just bought a bmw 530e sport hybrid. 2litre petrol engine, with 83kw electric motor. Cost him £50k. It does 15 miles on its battery (bmw claim 30). How in Gods name can that be considered an eco car? it drinks petrol 99.9% of the time..

its mad when you look back on it isnt it Ken, this dodo used to swing around more each day than a contestant on strictly. Now it just seems rooted to the spot and refuses to budge.
The only saving grace for me is that the divis are returns of capital so outside of the annual divi tax limits (just affects CG - ha ha) so can be ignored for income purposes. Bloody frustrating though being tied in.

I think the trade deal will help in the near future then its direction will depend to great extent on the view of trumpy getting a second term or not, with a pretty big move one way or the other after that election. i think the ftse should be rising more than it is, a lot of UK stocks are cheapish but i dont think the country is doing as well as that would imply, i see quite a lot of poverty and belt tightening on my daily travels but that could just be becauseof where i live. Cornwalls a county of have lots and have bugger alls with not much in the middle area so not a good barometer. GL today, lets see a rise here please.
