wealthy people might buy one, nobody in cornwall can afford them - even if the battery range was good enough to get here. As I have seen they do a battery powered motorhome, really usefully it can travel 125 miles on a full charge, take a long time to get to spain in that lol.
What the Greta lovers also never say is that there isnt a recycling facility in the UK for the scrap batteries, we export them to the EU, think that maybe stopping soon.
When they legislate to make the battery packs all the same (inevitably it will be needed) and use the same charger, like the EU have for phones, then the costs of replacement batteries and manufacture will come down, then they will be viable for the vast majority of townies with too much money, but for rural areas range is whats important.
Interestingly, i thought they were saying our electricity grid and power stations were insufficent for our current use? How thats going to be solved by air source heat pumps and huge car charging demand i dont understand. Maybe why they push smart meters, so they can control usage times. We should all have personal jetpacks by now anyway :)

billy, theres lots of noise over electric cars at the moment, and other anti fossil fuels, but nobody is buying them yet. take a look at the official UK figures released a few weeks ago, i posted them before. A big % increase on very very small sales is still very very small. Ironically there made of plastic as well.

i too should reduce my rdsb holding of 14800, £25 is my target also but we wont be getting that anytime soon, on that we can certainly agree. But i doubt they will cut the divi, that has never happened and the company wont want to break that record. This is why so many buy rdsb for the 'guaranteed' divi - which of course it isnt, but has been so far. The company will just print more shares to make up any shortfall then buy them back and cancel when times are better (i hate buybacks unless very high %). Am quite happy to continue to hold, my average is well lower than the SP as i bought the bulk of mine a few years back around the BG deal time, so if patience is needed im happy enough. Just needs a spark of conflict in the ME though and big oil will rise, only tempered by the excess US shale that could be sold onto market.

im missing no point at all. Shares go up shares go down, and nobody - even people who pertain to not being wrong often (that lets me off the hook) have absolutely no fact to back up what they say, we all merely have Opinions, and those are just that. I just really dont get it, given the diverse nature of the company and its income it should be one of the better performers currently not the worst.

you hang in there Aether and stay focussed on getting better, keep them eyes and ears open and most importantly care for yourself whenever you can - always check the care your given by others, learn whats required and act.

Aether, may sound radical and i sense your in a remote area with less options, but can you not move hospitals?
I wasnt over happy with being starved for 11 days the last time i was in hospital, so told the consultants i was leaving for a day to see my GP before they made me too weak to keep that option. To say they were not happy was an understatement, i still went, then they suddenly decided i could be discharged, still didnt feed me!
Can you phone your GP to discuss your concerns? the hospital staff are likely to close ranks, whereas your GP probably wont and then your concerns are on record, that should focus minds.

Every organisation robs people of their money each day. Overpriced mobiles, broadband, Sky tv, amazon prime, football tickets, electric/gas, council tax, petrol prices, hp cars, dominos etc etc the list is endless. It is upto the individual concerned to spend what they have sensibly in life. It a shame people know more about their favourite phone/celebrity/footy team than basic finance, which should be compulsory in school if the debt cycle is ever to end.

JL, people should live within their means and not put themselves into the position, its daft. But when a bank is quite happy to lend you a pile of cash as a loan at 6.5% or whatever, then charging 40% for a generally small dip into an overdraft is quite clearly nothing but legalised theft. However, people being people are generally feckless with money these days and mop up credit for all sorts of things - more fool them.

billy, it counts against the CG allowance of £12.5k, rather than divi income of £2k, but its only relevent when you sell them (and realise the gain). in effect if you sell them over a few years and swop some of them over to the wife you can dodge it easily enough - as long as the SP doesnt skyrocket of course and slow the quantity you can sell - obviously that dont apply to miserable glenda at the moment tho :)

might as well have kept those parasites Wonga going. 40% is just theft plain and simple.
