wealthy people might buy one, nobody in cornwall can afford them - even if the battery range was good enough to get here. As I have seen they do a battery powered motorhome, really usefully it can travel 125 miles on a full charge, take a long time to get to spain in that lol.
What the Greta lovers also never say is that there isnt a recycling facility in the UK for the scrap batteries, we export them to the EU, think that maybe stopping soon.
When they legislate to make the battery packs all the same (inevitably it will be needed) and use the same charger, like the EU have for phones, then the costs of replacement batteries and manufacture will come down, then they will be viable for the vast majority of townies with too much money, but for rural areas range is whats important.
Interestingly, i thought they were saying our electricity grid and power stations were insufficent for our current use? How thats going to be solved by air source heat pumps and huge car charging demand i dont understand. Maybe why they push smart meters, so they can control usage times. We should all have personal jetpacks by now anyway :)
