i wonder how they protect all the pilots and crew on the repatriation flights coming out of China from catching the virus, given they are in a sealed tube with sufferers? Nothing to do with RYA specifically just being nosey. Im assuming ****pits are sealed somehow anyway to protect against gas attack but interested to understand.

Ken/Billy, i agree i was expecting a drop this morning, even contemplated dropping my UU early to (madly realy) buy a few to trade with, didnt in the end tho. I also think this will be the new 'floor' so once this pop virus gets sorted and the chinese industry picks back up then we should see some decent sustainable rises here. I also see Trumpys trade war going more his way with the chinese now, as this virus has hit them hard and coupled with the tariffs they may be more willing to be reasonable towards the US position .

the whole issue with climate change and its increasing effects is simply down to huge population growth, and the understandable human nature to want a better life, so driving more and more people to demand more of the poluting trappings of the civilised world. There is no point banning ICE in the UK with BILLIONS of other peoples continuing to use them across developing countries.
As for HMG having a long term plan, you must be joking. NO UK government ever does, they ALL think in 5 year election terms whichnis exactly why this country has gone to the dogs in the last centuary.

even if ICe cars are banned on the various dates specified (nothing government does is on time remember) there will be millions of cars still left on the road that people will hang onto for cheap easy point to point transport. They will not disappear for decades afterwards, look how many old classics are still left driving about, people pay top money for their simplicity and nostalgia - i saw a mini Metro the other day, was amazed that it hadnt rusted away like the rest of them
