i recon UK could be having a lucky escape now from bailing the eu banks out Trojan. We're going to be having a big bill ourselves, but when the southern europe debts get added up they are going to need an extra digit on the calculator.

You've posted this opinion on both rya and ezj, and a similar prediction on lloy a few days back. Why would two separate companies "dilute" by the same division and enjoy the same eventual valuation of "35" - of whatever that unit is?

ive suggested you look at the clapping news clips for examples many times now, they are on tele most days, please help yourself.

And yes i understand that the 2m rule is impossible to adhere to around an operating theatre, remember me stating i had upto 15 people in theatres crowded around me? Im not that large. Protecting the staff and patient in such circumstances is what the ppe is intended for.
However it is quite sensible to maintain distance whenever you are physically able, so outside clapping or clapping in the corridor, eating lunch etc etc it is very possible and sensible to do this as much as possible, it reduces risk. Maybe wear gloves to use the lift, door handles, vending machines etc, good old fashioned common sense and what we are advised to do anyway.
And whats all this "nasty" business?

Who mentioned cloth masks? I have certainly not 'referred' to them at all as you insinuate, more inaccuracies in your arguments.
It is also perfectly feasible to stand 2m apart in a corridor to clap for the cameras if you wish to (masked or not) as i have stated. yet you now say 'working environment' to cloud the waters.
You repeatedly fail to read points raised and change your argument because you are talking piffle.

We all 'get' that covid is a "difficult problem" and dont need an antagonist keyboard expert such as yourself to make that observation, most of us have eyes and ears that work quite well without your "help"

I did indeed mention inside as well, when having staff queue up along a corridor it is also perfectly feasible to stand 2m apart. They could always wear their masks and improve the situation, many hang them round their necks or just dont bother. Foolish and stupid, watch the news and see.

Are you suggesting in your last point that the staff INTENTIONALLY stand right next to each other to ensure a good photograph?

I CLEARLY stated 'outside'. clapping for the news cameras is not work either, it is a chance for some welcome light relief and celebration. ,And yes they can socially distance when doing that, its quite simple.

One final observation i've made from the tv news bullitins when all the clapping etc outside the hospitals and sometimes inside when a virus patient recovers and is released.
Ive noticed that most of the medical staff that take part are frequently unmasked, and more often than not not even 2m from the next medical person.
I dont think that is sending the right message, or remotely sensible. Have a look at the next few items on the news and see what you recon.

Agreed. My type of op was first done in 1947 and hasnt changed since, apart from 50% can now be done by keyhole (mine wasnt but generally half are). About 500 done per year in the Uk.
Typically i had planned to do a 220 mile sponsored walk from my house to the hospital that treated me in March to raise the dept some monies for the staff rest room, poxy virus has scuppered that for now. Once lockdowns lifted i'll be reorganising.

I personally have never not worked, and to my mind the phrase 'keyworkers' only applies to 'workers' hence they are 'key'. Not people who choose not to do so when they are able. I assume that is clearer.

Im on that list of yours Rosewall. I help supply water to millions of people and have specific responsabilities to ensure its wholesome. My dads a food trucker.
I don't need my back slapping everyday to know Im doing my bit.
Everybody, including the lollipop lady, is a key worker.

They made a bit of a meal of my (very complicated and specialised) treatment initially if the truth be told, which created multiple other operations for me after relapses inc sepsis. The consultants eventually acknowledged this would have killed their average patient, fortunately Im a very determined fit and focussed individual and came through it all, learned a lot so I could help myself which i think is key to getting the best results. As much as i admire them all, i hope to only ever meet up with them outside of hospital in the future :)

Regardless of individual views or opinions on what PPE is missing/provided/neccasary etc. We all owe an un-repayable debt to the brave guys and girls that take care of us in our National Hero Service when we are at our most vulnerable. I have the upmost respect for every single one of them, and even if they had all of the PPE in the world on at once, its still not enough in my mind. I wouldnt be here now without those wonderful people, I and my family will be eternally grateful. God bless them all.

I was collected lots of times from my ward by gowned up theatre staff (no masks tho) and taken direct to theatre for ops, with the same people remaining in the room to assist after collecting me. I have a copy of my whole medical file. all of the theatre staff sign in on documentation for each individual op if they are in attendance, stating their role. I got to know a lot of the fantastic people that looked after me very well.
