Johnk82, Specialonek is right. I had all my eggs in one basket with Xcite energy in 2010 when my shares had gone up to 100k on hype. I was going to use the money for a flat deposit but hadn’t banked it. The shares fell 30% before I sold. And later further. The company no longer even exists / is listed.

How long does a stock usually get suspended for once an RTO is announced, please? Only I’m invested in another company that been suspended from trading for over a year now whilst it restructures and looks for a new NOMAD. Thanks in advance.

To be fair to the original poster, how do you tell, without checking the printed FT, which market (and whether the FTSE 100/350 or AIM) a company is listed on? I also wonder these share forums don’t add that onto to the ‘fundamentals’ (except on purpose) for each share.

In4cedros: have you ever tried texting with one hand on an iPhone (the predictive textin on which is anyway bizarre) on a packed tube under someone's armpit ;)? Anyway studies say we don't need all the letters in a word to be in order in order to understand them so you get the gist? ;)
