It’s clear that Cascabel is flashing bright on many radars.

It’s clear that the US do not want this going to the Chinese.

It’s clear that the US and Ecuador are cozying up to each other.

If the SoA fails then, in my opinion, any share price volatility will be short lived….this is too sought after for other bids not to arrive in the short term. We had strong forward momentum before this sh*t deal was tabled and there’s no reason that the trend should not continue adding further value. Vote NO and let’s get fair value for our asset.

Everyman and his dog know this is daylight robbery….us lot, the Board, Mather, BHP, Newmont, JCC et al.

If the SoA fails, which I hope it does, then, even if there are no counter bids, do we really think that JCC will just throw their hands in the air and say ‘c’est la vie’?!…in my opinion that’s unthinkable. This a rare tier 1 resource with sought after metals that are only going to increase in demand. The Chinese want to control this market……they’ll be back. Vote NO and protect our investment.

Anybody sensing a whiff of desperation in that RNS……..PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE vote yes we’ve got millions of options to cash in! Don’t let these parasites get away with this. Fight and vote NO…..it’s clearly already getting their backs up!

RT, you make some very valid points and they are much appreciated. What I am not clear on however is how the Court is going to be made aware of this valuable information and the concerns of those against this pathetic offer.

Guys, do not listen to the doomsayers. If no counter bid arrives and enough of us vote NO and the SoA subsequently fails, then do you really think that JCC will just walk away…..the answer is emphatically NO!…they could double their offer and still get a bargain. All in my opinion of course. Keep fighting for fair value.

Hi IP, interesting!…for Noboa to get this underway straight after discussions with BHP at Davos is no coincidence. However this Bill needs to be pushed through well within the 30 days as the Court Meeting is slated for 23rd. I think your comment of ‘ And importantly — they are doing it before the shareholder vote window closes’, is not quite accurate.

Hi, I’m puzzled, please help!

In the SOLG Acquisition RNS it states all who have given an undertaking to vote for. They are, Smith, Caldwell, Mather, Alban, Josel, Vujcic, BHP, Newcrest and Maxit. That makes 9 as far as the headcount vote goes…are the numbers really going to be this low ie in the 10s or 20s?….if so we don’t need many to turn up to defeat this! Have I missed something!?!

Also it seems NM is voting for and against the deal, seems a bit weird!

Smickster, as far as the head count goes how many FOR might there be ie JCC, Newcrest, BHP, board members etc etc, rough numbers, and how many of us do we need to defeat them?

AROK do you have a breakdown of the 34% of institutions not committed to a YES vote?…..it might be a useful exercise to deliberate on who might vote NO…you never know they might defeat the SoA on their own!

I can’t help but think making a counter bid in the window between a passed vote and the court hearing is cutting it a little too fine!….a major possibility of losing the prize. I guess however, with proxy monitoring, a potential suitor could gauge which way the vote is heading and bid accordingly. I think if it was me I’d place my bet just before vote results.

As Damers said, it’s all over if the scheme passes……so when do you envisage a counter bid arriving….if it does?

If you are AGAINST this derisory offer it is crucial that ALL of us vote NO……Every vote counts……we will be kicking ourselves if we lose this by a small margin.

Myself and all family members have just voted NO to both the Court Meeting and the EGM.

Do not let this extremely valuable asset be ‘stolen’ from us.

FTJNY you are absolutely spot on. This is why I will be voting NO to this farcical offer. If you want c.33p (minimum) for your shares then vote NO. JCC will not pull out if the SoA fails they will be forced to go the other route…..and PAY MORE. In addition there always remains the distinct possibility of a counter bid pushing the price higher.

This asset is too valuable to let go for a derisory 28p simply to swell the coffers of those with cheap options. Let’s stand up to these people and vote NO……….In my opinion there is nothing to lose and at least 5p a share to gain. I will be voting NO today on ii.

The majors know we have a world class minerals deposit which is only going to become scarcer and more sought after in the future.

In my mind if no other bids arrive then those with very deep pockets know something significant that we don’t. If that is the case then should we not ALL be informed?…..a level playing field!

Hi, could I suggest that someone with more knowledge than I of the rules and regs, draw up templates detailing the pertinent concerns/questions, so that it becomes very easy for all of us to copy and paste and fire off emails to whichever authorities are relevant. Takeover Panel, Solgold etc etc……..and keep highlighting them on here to remind people that we need to make a unified stand against this pathetic deal. It seems we are starting to build some momentum - let’s give ‘em both barrels!
