Hi Cine
Glad you are still on here mate and I think you were right not to sell up in panic. Completely agree on the haircut front, had mine done last Saturday - a great relief!
haha me either, that's exactly they I had to start with "sorry if this question sounds a bit ridciulous" :-D
Bloody pandemic!!
That makes sense now - thank you M00la.
Also, some of you board regulars will remember a very honest young lad who posted on here several weeks ago. He had put a lot of his money into Cine, and was getting a bit worried. Hope he is okay and fingers crossed down the line a positive resolution.
Sorry if this question sounds a bit ridiculous but just something that has crossed my mind. Obviously cinemas mark up food and drink massively and it is a big money spinner for them. If and when masks become mandatory in indoor spaces, how wonder much impact that will have on people's decision to purchase food and drink alongside their ticket purchase.
Thanks for your honesty here Noggers. I averaged down Cineworld to 77p, and considered doing more but I can't really afford to (if it went wrong). Your honest assesment of how it went with your Tullow Oil shares reinforces that to me however tempting it is sometimes.
Does anyone happen to know what the uptake has been like at Cineworld's European cinemas in such places as Czech Republic and Slovakia. I know it is only a small % of the total operation but I would be intrigued to know they are have getting on post re-opening.
A little off-topic but following on from Max's point (5) this article all be it a few months old, summarises so well how resilient cinema is and why it is such a unique experience that simply cannot be replicated at home. I really believe this too and it is one of the reasons I got so involved in this share (perhaps too much given the current Cineworld SP!).
Of course there is no guarantee of any company kicking-on after a global pandemic but I still believe in Cineworld very much. Worth a read, and some interesting references to the 1918 Spanish Flu and film. Worth a quick browse guys - have a good evening!

It's hard to know tbh mate. I have average down to about 70p but I think I will leave it there for now.
1st July 12.00pm - Cineworld share price - 57.54p
7th July 11:15am - Cineworld share price - 58.40p
Not saying I know where this share is going, I really don't but the reality we are a penny up on 6 days ago but there seems to be much more doom and gloom.
At this point I don't think there is a great need to panic. Though there might be in 45 minutes when we drop to 30p (assuming Stevie is correct of course!)
The Cineplex share price dropped another 5% yesterday. So not the bounce you might expect had the market got any real confidence they were going to to take Cine to the cleaners or even certainty that they will be around to do so.
Thanks to whoever posted the Mooky CNN link. Think he would have tried to talk all night given the opportunity! Interesting.
Ah great, good luck with it all. I only bought at 18p and got out at 15p, it was annoying me and I wasn't sure there was a way back, so I put some more in here. Interesting to see what goes on over there in the weeks to come, Good luck.
Hi HeresHopin
How are you getting on with your Amigo, saw a bit of a revival on Friday. I bought cheap and sold for a small loss after JB didn't overthrow the board. I might regret that now, still following with interest!
But given the legal battle they are probably going to keep most cards close to the chest.
Do agree with Jacque that it would have been nice to have a bit more detail ideally.
Morning JBS, sounds encouraging. Pretty swift and strong rebuttal, citing the covenant breaches and their opportunity to remedy them.
Close of play tomorrow that is.
Agreed. Would be happy to close between 55 and 60.
haha yeh "Sorry gents, but we got the dates wrong. All the best Mooky"
