Graff-1 is a known (previously stated) position recognisable to shipping, and they shall be setting up station for Graff-2 fairly close by - in nautical terms. I don’t think we should take it that it is their precise and ultimate target coordinate.

Maersk Voyager is still on Venus-1 location, which given the huge expense involved hopefully means there’s a very positive reason for keeping it there.

Unfortunately it remains an absolute dog. I withdrew a sell order this morning but am now regretting that.

The drilling ship DS-10 is now in port at Walvis Bay, presumably for fuel and supplies. It will be very interesting to see where she heads next, and whether drilling the follow up well to Graff-1 by her is imminent as had been suggested by ‘sources’.

I hadn't realised we are to be 'related' to Impact O & G, a private company, which has 20% in Venus-1X. Impact also own 36.5% of Africa Energy Corp so they have indirect interest in the ECO/Azinam 2b well.

ECO and mates in m&a mode might soon be absorbing TRP's assets for loose change, the way that's going..

I may be getting ahead of myself, but with the new structure I can see ECO becoming a production outfit upon commercial success with Gazania-1. Africa needs oil so it looks a no-brainer to take that step rather than flog the asset.

I assume Gil is quiet (by his standards) due to the Azinam deal remaining a work in progress. I trust due diligence hasn’t turned up any concerns there. That deal going wrong really would be a kick in the nuts.

Good one, thanks for the link. It’s very interesting how they can state as fact something that in no way has been officially announced or even hinted at (that I’m aware of, anyway) by the Namibian Government. Then again WM are usually sensible, at least I thought so. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were leak, given Upstream’s earlier exclusive. Let’s hope it’s all true, and that the second drill is starting immediately.

These wells are incredible engineering feats when you realise Venus-1 requires two miles of drill tubes before it even spuds.
