Looks like a short-lived foray into solar for ECO if the sale money is coming straight back to ECO and not being reinvested in other solar opportunities. Cue disposal of the remaining Solear ‘assets.’

Must admit I expected ECO’s price to get a good leg up on confirmation of success at Venus-1x, even factoring in world events. I bought a few more early doors, but clearly the market thinks the price is right. Come on down…

No early hint of lining up some action on 3B/4B, unfortunately… Surely that must now come to the fore with these recent large discoveries?

I meant while ECO is low value not that it would literally sell for today’s 36p a share. That said a buyer has a low market value to base an opening offer on and ECO would need to put up a strong defensive wall which had the support of major holders. But I don’t actually think it’s likely.

Being bought out when at these low levels would be a disaster for lths after the long, long wait. Very subdued response so far, but in the general circumstances hardly surprising.

If anyone needs a reminder what Venus and Graff could mean to ECO, just look at the South Africa map on the ECO, particularly 3B/4B blocks, of which ECO holds 20%. Not only is 3B/4B directly on trend with V and G and just ‘down the road’ geologically, but compare the size of our multiple prospective plays (as yet unquantified) to those shown for V and G. It all has gobsmacking implications and is enough to make me dribble for one?

So is the Voyager - still in the new position, -now set for drilling Venus-2..? It’s mighty close to V-1, but they don’t sit stationary under ‘restricted manoeuvrability’ status in the ocean for fun.

The two vessels are approximately 35 miles apart… so Namibia goes from no-hoper to the bee’# knees almost overnight…

The drilling ship is still on Venus and three support vessels remain in attendance. The cost of this one must be absolutely humongous - as hopefully is their discovery once finally confirmed.

Great to see TED still resonates with world consumers after COVID changed so many mindsets in so many ways, not least ways of working. A strong management team turning the ship around and a solid customer base still largely loyal to the brand is a very encouraging position to be in post-pandemic. They'll obviously want to expand the customer pool demographics going forward but this could be the genuine recovery for TED

As an ECO shareholder (not yet a TRP holder) it has occurred to me that with ECO looking for further consolidation among smaller Atlantic Margin companies after having just absorbed Azinam, there could possibly - I say possibly - be discussions with TRP along those lines. TRP aren’t currently in the strongest position as an independent and could benefit by gaining interest in larger assets, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if something happened. Just an observation, not intended as a wind up…

Seems a bit of to-ing and fro-ing by support ships at the Venus location. I wonder if they are taking off drill tubes from Maersk Voyager as they come up. Just a thought, as clearly the drill must be close to being comply now.

I meant tiddler but predictive text got me. I’m not saying the license will change hands, just pointing out its not entirely in TRP’s control. Happily, in most senses, these are different times even to last year, but hopefully Government recognise smaller companies who’ve been hanging on in there and don’t pull the rug when they get the chance.

If things get lively and majors are looking to acquire acreage then having a licence running out is not necessary great timing. The Namibian government might be inclined not to renew with a toddler if one or two of the big boys are sweet talking them.
