There was a spread in the Times about this recently but I didn't take much notice. I think the share price weakness is a reflection the loss of customers due to the falling out with BSkyB and of increased competition from the same talking of moving into standalone broadband. I suspect the loss of the CEO in August hasn't helped much either.

Renesola absolutely flying, up 20% today and in auction now at 369p. The shorters must be frying on this one, the famous donut eater reputedly has this targeted down to 50p. Have been out of the share for a few weeks, more's the pity.

I bought in this morning at 63p, but could only buy 2K shares. Tried several times to buy more and eventually gave up, as the share price started dropping around the same time. Nice to see the recovery since them though. It's one of those shares that could be back up to £3 in no time, the fall in share price clearly unrelated to the performance of the fund. But of course if they get many further redeptions then there could be a further run on the shares. Probably one to be in and out of quickly I think.

They dropped to 8-9p at one point then recovered a bit on some light buying, now off again, 8.5-9.25p at the close. One punter on advfn says there's contract news out tomorrow, if it were true and the MMs had knowledge of it they might drop the price to cause a bit of panic selling. I'm not convinced about this though, it doesn't seem likely that they'd be privvy to such information. I'd had a couple of punts here this week, one very lucrative, the other a quick 'in and out' for a small profit. Not sure about risking it again though, for the market makers to bomb the price by 30% in a day suggests that they have punters by the balls. They could be 5p or 20p tomorrow, but unless they either announce another contract win or very strong rumours of such emerge it's a very high risk punt.

The RNS out does include the following line, the knowledge of which may be the cause of the fall today: "Following the trading update on 13 July 2007, the Board has been in discussions with its advisers and its banks about the renegotiation of its banking facilities in conjunction with an equity issue."

My sell looked to be well timed, the price trickling down, then suddenly it jumped to 90p. The brought our the buyers, it fell back to sub 80p quickly and is now aaround 80p or there abouts. Strange goings on for sure.

Must be the quickest 10% I've seen in many a day, out at 83.8p. I'd like to know what's behind the fall (if anything) today before leaving money in here longer term.

Yes moneyman, but a bit late. I had a buy on at 67p but hesitated a bit too much, thought I'd clicked on the buy but it had timed out. Did a refresh but the buys had started and good old TDW decided to repeatedly error on me. Was at an offer of 74p before I could get a firm quote again, did take it but only a small punt. 80.25-81.75p now

In auctino at 76p at the moment. Earlier level 2 buys dried up as the shares went into freefall, now buy volume 97K and sell volume 154K. SP out of auction and rising now, 77-78p

On my watch list as a potential recovery stock, but taking a real hammering today. No RNS out, is this just sentiment turned against them I wonder?

Too risky to stay put, quick few percent and I'm done, only a small stake but you don't go broke taking a profit...

Back up above £10...

Well that breaking story explains the weakness. I'm surprised that IEC haven't released an RNS either confirming the story or denying that the licences have been revoked. It just keeps getting worse for this beleagured company, any good news is invariably followed by bad, for what should be a real success story.

I was surprised to see these drop back down to around 900p this morning. The share price doesn't seem to know where to go, although some profit taking was likely. I'm back in at 918.95p today, I think yesterdays close at 1060p is a far more reasonable short term price given the good RNS.

I sold ASG to move into IEC, which was recovering well after a good update this morning. It's an old favourite of mine but has been struggling for a while. However, the rise petered out and ASG dropped off, so I took a quick profit on IEC and switched back in here at 14.94p. I was partly encouraged back as trial trades were going through readily, the previous problems of buying and selling seem to have eased. Currently looking ok as the SP has moved ahead to 15.5-16.25p, rumours of another contract circling, but possibly just an effort to ramp the shares on other BBs. Certainly an exciting, but highly risky, punt.

Aha, I should have read the RNS in detail rather than just the headline. That explains the slow rise then, but also hints that the Russians may view the other disputed reserves in a move favourable light. I thought that the share price rise was a little muted, but have to confess to being distracted this morning buy work, hence the hasty comment. So another 39mmbbls to Imperials already extensive reserves, and only 2 days ago they announced a joint venture with the Tomsk Regional Administration. All looking very bright after the recent turbulent months for shareholders.

Back in IEC today, have missed most of the start of the recovery but sold out of ASG and put the money in here instead. Great news that they now have agreement on reserves. To be honest I had thought that the shares would be marked up 20 or 30% as they were above £15 before the original news that the reserves were being questioned broke. But since this primarily a SETS driven stock the slower rise is down to buys and sells, good news for anyone looking to buy in at least. SP hitting auction now, at 1020p, then at 1021p and now for a third time at 1027p. Looking very promising.

The market makers are holding back publication of almost all trades over 5K shares, so it's nigh on impossible to see what's really going on here. SP now on 1-2 at 18.75-20p but I've decided to exit and managed to sell all my shares in one go at 18.9p. The good news for anyone remaining in is that the MMs were happy to take them at slightly above the bid, implying that they are short of shares. I'm never completely happy in shares which are very hard to buy or sell, a downward run on the SP and you have simply no chance, may miss out on a huge potential profit here, but a gain of almost 16% is not to be disregarded and I have my eye elsewhere. Moving ahead again this morning on talk that they may have won a contract with a chain of Supermarkets. Hmm, Tesco I wonder? 18-19p and a number of small buys already. Could be in for another ride like yesterday...

One of those high tech stocks that could be worth hundreds and hundreds of millions in two or three years, but basically worth very little today. How do you value such a beast? I've had two short term punts on this, both highly profitable on recovery after a fall in the share price, the latest on the 12th September. I think it's a risk either way though, the share price could halve or double in no time. I'll look again on any retrace below 170-180p I think.
