Rock, I think with respect, you are missing the point. You are correct in so far as it is not about PM, per se, but about the way in which the Board handled that situation. It was a dreadful example of weak management, and poor decision making, and if it is representative of the way in which the company is run generally, then it is easy to see why the SP is where it is.

Mike... That's exactly right, and look at their holdings.... None of them is invested in ITV to any reasonable extent, so what message does that send out..... The institutional investors should get McCall in for a meeting and tell her to get that sorted out for a start!

£20k sells, should be a drop in the bucket, and irrelevant as far as any impact on the SP is concerned

And I also think her Board of Durectirs, ar an ineffectual bunch of dead heads, none of whom are invested to any serious extent in the company.

I used to be a fan of Dame CM but quite honestly, I am not sure I am now. ... look at her record at ITV..... What has she achieved?... Not a lot....the Britbox thing maybe ?... "Quantum Valeat".... But what else, other than to oversee a decline in the SP from about 170 to its current level.?...She did ok at Easyjet but the Guardian?... That's nothing to be proud of. If I had been CEO of that left wing rag, I wouldn't be boasting about it

Francn..........Yes I think I now agree with you. I think that the poor SP performance indicates, that the BoD and the corporate strategy generally, needs to be completely freshened up

I agree that if the Tories, renege on their manifesto commitment to maintain the triple lock, that would be an utter disgrace, and also alienate the main body of their support..... The issue is however there is no credible alternative

Bunky, re your 18.04 post, is the scenario you describe not the position up until you reach the age of 75 ?... After which the position is entirely different?

I can't really see any significant increase in the SP until September unless there is any meaningful news before that, such as a TO, or deal with BT over their sports Channel etc - we live in hope!
