Thanks for NFCDC minutes. You can read earlier minutes too and some permits are taking longer due to Covid (people less in office). Importantly they latest minutes say construction should begin soon so they seem optimistic.

RNS 14 September already confirmed that permitted valuation methodologies do not take into account the market capitalization or the share price of a Company. Any (independent) expert must already be aware of the methodology that applies. Hopefully appointment of the independent expert will happen quickly. Most agreements set out the approach if the parties cannot agree to the nominated expert by either party.

This might be seen as an additional deal and the main issue for investors or new investors, is lack of information on the value or earnings from the collaborations. It may be commercially sensitive and only become apparent when the next results are released but investment decisions need to be based on more than we have available. News on Early lung test wider usage in NHS and other countries would be the other spur to invest. Is a take over by Roche a possibility?

Two months ago RNS said "the Board expects that the environmental and operational permits will be awarded in the next few weeks. On receipt of the relevant permits, the Company will be in a position to immediately commence mining operations at the Homase South Pit, utilising contract mining, and construct the heap leach plant, with the target of achieving our first gold pour in Q4 2020.
Hopefully there will be a positive update soon and still first gold in Q4.

1.95? Just paid less than that (1.8375 and 1.875) for 2 x 50k buys that are both shown as sells. Worth checking the actual prices using dummy buy (or sell) and then decide if the actual price is right.

Messrs Patterson & Bishop own one third of the company and I am sure they will find the best means to fund buying SAU's share to the benefit of all shareholders. Looks very promising. Hopefully the work on grants and other actions are progressing alongside achieving 100% ownership. Much depends on the amount and if a loan would suffice. Nothing is known about the amount but the RNS refers to buying other 50% on attractive terms.

With very little knowledge of the science involved I have no idea what the company might be worth if their Nuvec delivery system is successful. What stands out from earlier RNSs is the positive news and specifically that Nuvec is "the delivery vehicle to get their antigen into cells to express the protein needed for the required immunity". It has potential use in vaccines of many different types. If successful it could be very valuable and market cap could rise in multiples. Not a share for the risk averse but reward could be highly significant.

The spread is only indicative as the actual sell and buy prices on live trading have a much smaller spread. L2 is useful to time a transaction as it is more accurate.

If you are convinced that this is an excellent company and will re-rate significantly on news, why are you concerned at short term SP decline? Some sellers will be traders and this is what they do on many AIM shares. Frustrating for holders but part of every day fluctuations and if you believe in the company then buy more at this level. There are always risks and it is easy to lose money. However the reward potential is huge and with Mcap of only about £14m there is tremendous upside possible within a few weeks or months. Personally I believe this is one of the better opportunities and I have added this week albeit I am a small investor.

Thanks for pointing out warrants. I should have remembered RNS. Spread is now minimal so SP decline may have bottomed out. Added with plan to get to 1m overall.

... has been extreme in recent days. I don't understand why the selling of such a small percent of the shares causes a 13% fall in SP. AIM pricing mechanism is not fit for purpose when buys and sells on a small scale cause such SP movements. Dips are a good time to invest or add but the volatility is 0ff-putting to say the least! As I am significantly in profit it doesn't bother me too much but I would like to better understand what's behind the ups and downs.

VAL was my first biotech investment three years ago and I am well down overall. I always felt the company were a potential ground breaker but with the SP drop sold most of holding at a significant (for me) loss. With all the changes in management and a clearer way forward giving much more confidence that VAL might actually deliver on the promising developments, I added a few weeks ago. For me the important point is Mcap is still only £11m so if they are successful a big SP rise will occur. I look at Avacta and SNG (in which I also invested a couple of years ago) and the potential gains are worth the risk.

This is another agreement with a top 10 pharma. Further news from Roche collaboration will be due in current quarter. As usual there is nothing on the value of the agreement but it must boost the finances and reduce the likelihood of needing more money. I am not expecting a big jump in SP at this stage and would prefer a steady rise rather than a roller coaster with other smaller companies I hold (Avacta, SNG and Val included). This company is under the radar and needs a substantial order for lung cancer tests to start moving. Of course a take over is also a possibility. Still wondering why another broker was appointed?

Today includes a useful piece on ONC but in my view does not give nearly enough information on the forthcoming news and pipeline of their progress. There is a lot coming in next three months but the article does not do this justice. I believe Shares Magazine is one of the best for PIs with some excellent tips and information.

Based on the fundamentals and first production not far off, bought 75k shares having sold rest of HUM holding based on political risk in Mali which has been getting worse in recent weeks. Main risk for GRL is getting timely environmental and operational permits but company appear to enjoy good relationships with government and mining department so hopefully not a problem.

Comments appreciated and the situation is complex. For me (CV apart) housing is possibly one of the biggest challenges and undoubtedly complex to resolve. Government failures and land prices are the biggest issue but the failure to build more also suits HBs in keeping supply low. I still believe £60k is a huge margin for young people to overpay and should be addressed. I will contact my MP again but don't expect much. Too many other fires to fight.

The cost of housing in UK is too high and generally higher than in most other countries. Partly it is the cost of building land where the price jumps hugely with planning permission. There are a number of aspects need addressing. My concern is that young people are saddled with big mortgages (offset by low interest rates) and their outlay takes a large part of income. Wouldn't it be better to have lower prices and leave them with more to spend on their well being. A rise in consumer spending and less on housing would boost the economy. I will help my grandchildren onto the housing ladder but would rather they paid a fairer price.

Housebuilders profit margins are outrageous some over 30%. This means a profit of £60k per house sold. When my grandchildren come to buy a house I will help them but I think the housing market needs a thorough overhaul. How can these profit margins be justified for anyone but especially first time buyers. Disgraceful!
