Maybe a deal like the one Beigene has done with Amgen and Celgene would be a way to get cash and deliver significant Shareholder value? It appears some big American Biopharma prefer to partner with Companies who have local regulatory expertise and sales infrastructure rather than go into China themselves.

Sorry for posting on a subject not strictly related to Chi-Med but I notice Beigene is up 25% pre-market based on the announcement of their collaboration with Amgen, commercialising assets in China and Amgen to Purchase Approximately $2.7 Billion of BeiGene Shares

It appears American Pharma have an appetite to do deals with Chinese Biopharmas as a route into China

I continue to Buy Chi-Med but I am disappointed with the way the market is valuing this great Company in comparison to other Companies such as Beigene, and that the CKHH disposal wiped circa 40% off the value of the Company overnight. It appears only a major announcement, deal or other catalyst will get us back to anywhere near where we should be.

I hope the Surufatinib NDA and possible Elunate inclusion in the NDRL may help somewhat.

I hasten to add, I was trying to Buy of course, but I am not prepared to pay an 8% premium over the sell price

I have just tried to place a trade, and was quoted £3.133 to Buy but only £2.90 to sell representing a spread of around 8%

So that is an 8% premium for buying shares which is not a sustainable trading market

Thanks for that tacly. It appears to me that not only has the UK market never valued the Company correctly, the U.S. market seems to struggle to. I was therefore hoping a HK listing would provide a better valuation by opening the Company up to Asian Investors.

I'm afraid I can no longer see the investment case here, even if, and it is a big if, one of these "shovel-ready" Projects comes to fruition, such as the Mast Energy plants, the payback will be years and years away, one only has to look at OPG to see that.

Would creditors not just want out so they get some money? This is not a good move and just destroys Shareholder value even more. I'm surprised the share price is only down 10% this morning.
