HCM is now included in the MSCI China Index and NASDAQ Biotech Index but I assume that doesn't compel funds which track these indices to hold all share listed in the index.

brilliant, another 7% loss in one day on top of the 35% loss in the last 2 weeks.............

would anyone care to name where we will bottom out as the price continues its daily 5% decline, does the news really warrant a 40% decline in the valuation of the Company. I'm still astounded it can drop by so much in such a short period of time.

Shares in Hutchison China Meditech (HCM) took another hit this morning after the group announced changes to its 2013 license and collaboration agreement on cancer drug fruquintinib with US partner Eli Lilly (US:LLY). The amendment effectively changes the roles and responsibilities of Chi-Med and Lilly, in China, for the development and commercialisation of fruquintinib, as well as collaborations for the development of fruquintinib with third-party anti-cancer agents as well as the promotion and distribution rights of fruquintinib. Chairman Simon To said Chi-Med was “stepping forward” to take on more responsibility in the development stage in order to reap more reward from the “future economic interest” of the drug. That includes a $12m (£9.4m) increase in expected full-year R&D expense at the group’s innovation division to $142m-$152m. Without any further changes to financial guidance, we remain buyers.

Disaster, down 28% this week, the market punishing the price based on the bad news without regards for the good news that was also in the announcement on Savolitinib. I am tempted to buy more next week or early in the new year as I am invested for the long term, but this week has been quite alarming. I hope Edison produce an updated note shortly so Investors are able to assess how these announcements could affect the projected financials and revenues.

Grea,t down another 13% on NASDAQ, the U.S market thinks the Company is worth very little now. I think that's a big mistake and this is a good buying opportunity but we desperately need some positive news now.

considering things at the moment miti, Iam still a big fan of the Company and think it has a great future, despite yesterday's news and the recent Fruquintinib update. I notice Directors have not purchased shares for over a year so maybe the current price will tempt them!

Last 18 months gains wiped away, miti you did well to sell out of your position a week ago, perfect timing. I need to think about my future strategy in light of the recent disappointing pipeline updates as the investment case has changed. I hope Edison will produce an updated note at some point.

I think we may be due to get an update on Epitinib shortly with regards to initiating a China Phase III study in 1L EGFRm NSCLC w/ brain mets. Hopefully that will be positive ;o-)

Clearly the market that really matters, NASDAQ, sees this as a setback but has managed to put it in context of the overall burgeoning pipeline, unlike AIM that over-reacts to bad news - you just have to look at ASOS as another example.

Trading pre-market at the equivalent of £50.40 at the moment on NASDAQ. slightly out if step with our £41.65.....
