The Company is targeting an NDA submission for 2020, it then takes up to a year for a drug to be approved, and peak sales can take typically up to 5 years after that.

I apologise for the multiple posts in the last few days but I've put together my favourite collection of Warren Buffet quotes. I do think they are appropriate to an investment in Ch-Med in so many ways:

Contentious as this may sound, I've often wondered whether a Company name change to drop the word China could help give the impression of a more global outlook, bearing in mind that first impressions do make a difference.

That is not to imply there is anything wrong with China, far from it, however some U.S Investors are wary of investing in anything with a Chinese connection. Hutchison Global Pharma perhaps!? Just some musing on a cold & wet afternoon in the depths of Kent.

Wimbledon, if you look at my Opions, I have said "Weak Buy" whereas yours is shown as "No Opinion".

My question was a legitimate one in order to assess any investment case.

I'd already looked at their documents on Companies House. I noticed all the activity, hence I wanted something more concrete about their development plans.

The company may best serve Shareholders by trying to sell assets & projects and wind itself up, distributing the proceeds. The Chinese may be a good place to start with their Africa ambitions. The only other option is to demonstrate material progress very quickly. I cannot see the Mast Energy deal generating anything this year. I can find very little about them, they don't have a website, all I can see is Kibo have people on the Board and they have assets of £100.

Does anyone have any more information about Mast Energy apart from what Kibo have divulged? Thankyou.

Do we know the big seller is out of the way Retour? Is that because of the trades you are seeing? It would be good if that is the case next week although I am here for the long haul as I see great value at this prices, especially if the pipeline matures as expected. There is major risk of course, but if the lead drug candidate is successful the Company will be valued at many times today's mcap, even with occasional additional fund raises.

They should be able to use that data George-Inn, Chi-Med are doing the same with one of their lead Oncology candidates, The Chinese Regulators made that change to accelerate the approval process, they've made many other changes too, as the OSS for cancer in China is terrible and they need western developed meds.

Midatech is like HCM was 12 years ago, tiny pipeline, and 150p per share, it is now valued at 25x that figure and has a large pipeline. This price for Midatech is great for anyone with a long term investment horizon but as I said, it will almost certainly get bought out by by Pharma.

My thought is, the LSE and NASDAQ prices will converge, a point which was mentioned by the CFO yesterday

Looking forward to the Results on the 11th, and hoping we get some early indication on Elunate sales, although it may be a little early to have any concrete numbers. Also looking forward to financial guidance for FY19 and any updates on the likelihood of Savo/Tagrisso combination approval in the U.S in the next year or two. I'll also be attending the AGM this year, as I have done for a number of years now.

China Medical Systems was listed on AIM for many years, their expertise is in getting other people's drugs thorugh the Chinese regulatory system and approved, they then have a big drug sales arm and distribution network in China. This strategic investment probably means they will take the lead candidates and rapidly get them approved in China, which is a bigger market than the U.S, although pricing is typically 1/3 of U.S oncology drugs.

As a seasoned Biotech Investor (mainly U.S Biotechs, Tesaro, Bluebird etc) I can see Midatech being bought as the lead drug candidate gets closer to NDA submission with the FDA. Big Pharma have diminishing piplelines and patent cliffs and are are bolstering their pipelines with acquisitions, rather than in-house discoveries. This will get bought out at some point IMO.

If there are any Investors here I've just done a quick calculation on the value of IP for the leading drug candidate MTD201:-

peak sales circa 10% of $2bn addressable market, NPV circa $200m, approval likelihood around 60% (which is realistic as this is in Phase 3 with an NDA next year), rNPV circa $120m = $1.96 or £1.47 per share
