Because it's not 'partnered' in the way you lot are implying. IBM have a software platform, psl use that software platform on their system. Anyone can go onto IBMs website and sign up and use IBMs iot platform and be part of of program. Psl fitted a demo system of their lights in an ibm building to show an example of how IOT works, probably along side a load of other products from other suppliers which are iot compatible, fridge freezers, tvs, heating systems etc. So yes without ibm, psl wouldn't have been able to do what they've been doing, but people are making it sound like IBM are a customer of theirs or in 'business' with them.
