i'm assuming this morning's 5.5% drop in SP is due to likely acquisition of countrywide, with countrywide's rightmove stake valued at 85p per share. whatever the reason, i'm out :(

a rule of thumb passed down from my grandfather to my father to me - bottoms and tops are for losers. If your strategy is to always buy on weakness, you can miss the boat. If you spend your time waiting for a peak, you are likely to miss it too. I went in on this stock last week (modestly) with a mid-term view on it. Yes I've missed a lot of growth on the SP, but I would expect good returns over the next 2 years. If 18% of Australia was covered in solar panels then the entire energy needs of the planet could be met. (I know this isn't feasible, and the oil companies will do their upmost to keep us addicted to their products, but in general solar energy will become more widespread over time. It is somewhat ironic to me that some of the poorest countries may become rich from solar power - imagine sub-saharan africa earning packet from exporting hydrogen or electricity produced from solar panels covering the desert...

It said staff turnover has been higher than expected and although it is backfilling the posts, it said the the lead time before this translates into growth in revenues and earnings will be longer than first anticipated.Quantica added that revenue and earnings from a major contract win in its technology business has taken longer than initially expected to be realised. In a separate release, the professional services, healthcare and training company said its shareholders have approved at an EGM the recently announced sale of its Quantica Healthcare unit to Advantage Healthcare Group Ltd and the company's move into AIM.

figures do indeed look good. The chartists might predict a drop soon, but valuation-wise I have seen a lot worse. I was out the country for months and missed this one, considering dipping my toe into some SOLA even at this late stage.

not-small-minded but maybe a bit jaded with the kind of blatant ramping, bragging and de-ramping that has plagued share chats on SEO, OXS, NAD, etc etc to the extent that this feature of LSE is rendered useless. There are some great posters, and great investment minds on this site - the better analysts tend to also be the ones who take action in their own hands to attempt to maintain standards here. You may so you are not boasting, but believe me, that's how it comes across. And if you are indeed a woman with a small penis, I can assure you from my experience your physical attributes in this regard are extremely unusual.

This company must be so connected. Up 3% today - better than expected results on the horizon? I've traded this share for years in fact in 2005-2006 I had about 80% of my portfolio on this single stock. Did very well indeed though wouldn't recommend you followed suit. These days I have a fair chunk of money in SVS but am not expecting the same level of growth from them. A nice stock to get some exposure to UK, European and Asian Commercial property. Luxury Residential market in UK too.

RNS from a while back announces they have hired cavendish to advise on possible bids, so I kind of put 2 and 2 together: No longer on my portfolio, no trades today showing on selftrade - bought out with no announcement? Not sure its worth going in at this price now but it sure was during most of 2006!

hi davius, i did some research on this one and bought a modest amount of QTA this morning. I also bought some TAN even though the price looks high historically - figures look good for both to me. Pleased to see SEO on the up today but have not increased my holding in them since September. Also happy to see that my very recent trades in FTO and AU. are paying off. And looks like I was alone on this site when I got into TFL in September. Strangely it's disappeared off my portfolio today. Perhaps bought out?

i'm not scare mongering - i'm just looking at the numbers and asking for an opinion - you are being really over-defensive. I am considering investing in this stock not encouraging people to sell short on it. Could you post the stock symbols for some other start up banks ?
