i don't know of any but that doesn't mean much. Could be people closing positions at the end of the tax year. or it could be some bad news around the corner. I doubled my exposure 20mins ago so am keen to learn of anything going on too.

my finger hovered over the buy button and bottled it... now trades are at 58 again... I'll keep waiting. No hurry.

in an effort to use up my CGT allowance, yesterday I closed my positions on virtually all my funds and all stocks outside my ISA barring my recent trades which have taken me over my CGT limit. Although this might explain LNG's behaviour - and perhaps SOLA's too today, it doesn't explain TAN's - I can only assume that bigger players are trading TAN and are not concerned with CGT limits.

i've dabbled in amstrad for years too - a similar story to yours Davius. I've had a few shares under the mattress since I was a teenager. Only difference is I enjoy the big train wreck that is the apprentice. Most amusing show - even if it is pure schadenfreude.

490 in sep, 680 now. market cap 873 million. Commercial property and luxury residential continue to boom.

it looks like sola's settled into a trading range since feb's dip - i think at this price it's a good time to top up or buy back in. i'm holding from 479, though that's offset with a silly (in retrospect) buy at 550 or so.

doubled holding this morning at quite a high price unfortunately - but I remain optimistic.

i do steadyeddie - but i'm feeling like i'm the only one round here ;)

soaring now. from 400 to over 700 in 6 months. Not bad for a company of this size.

selftrade.co.uk says market cap is 846k which is v. low for a company with 2.61million revenue and 451k profits. I wonder what date that market cap valuation is based on - SP now or a week ago ;) It looks to me that the market isn't as efficient as some say and is surprised by revenue and profit.

i mean - they are saying "Buy Japanese Stocks". But if the US economy goes into meltdown, the chinese economy will too and then japan will collapse too..

grossly over-simplistic armchair macro-economics. The claim is that short and long-term, China is in trouble, but mid-term it's not and that America is doomed too - is that if that is the case then no market and no investment option is safe. Except for shorting on Dow futures I suppose :P A classic way of getting people into parting with their hard earned cash is to scare them into it.
