RE: Phase 2 and Sexual Desire23 Oct 2018 20:01
The factors will be used for commercial claims and MED showed statistical significance for all the above points.
One thing to note is Viagra did not use any claims for “increased sexual desire” as they were advised against doing so due to potential litigations , ie. People blaming Viagra for committing sexual crimes as it could easily be spiked into a drink without one noticing and therefore they did not wish to use the claim of “increased sexual desire”
With MED I don’t see this as being a problem. The phase 2 showed statistical significance for this category of increasing sexual desire. I don’t think it’s a problem for med for making this claim because let’s face it, no one can accuse of someone else of forcefully grabbing their penis and proceeding to rub MED gel without their knowledge… and provided it continues to show the statistical evidence in phase 3, one claim which could be made (backed by the statistical evidence) is for it to increase sexual desire.
The specific questions in the IIEF questionnaire for sexual desire are worded as follows
“The next two questions ask about sexual desire. In this context, sexual desire is defined as a feeling that may include wanting to have a sexual experience (for example masturbation or sexual intercourse), thinking about having sex, or feeling frustrated due to lack of sex.
Q11. Over the last month, how often have you felt sexual desire?
5 being almost always and 1 being almost never
Q12. Over the last month, how would you rate your level of sexual desire?
5 being very high and 1 being very low
So, hopefully we show increased statistical evidence with increased doses and continue to show statistical evidence for the sexual desire question.
That post took ages so hopefully some of the fellow investors find it useful!!
