One thought , I was speaking to my far more Intelligent son about it last night , for clarification I make things out of metal he's a qualified actuary who works in amongst other things hedging pension pots . He said a lot of the funds won't touch it most likely because of esg rules . And he pointed out Facebook as an example last year .Now you wouldn't say they were a bad bet.

If logically thinking, as soon as they've signed agreement for the bid to proceed and accept the sultans shilling then WG would be liable for costs / penalties for pulling out . Considering they have no money relatively speaking they are not going to entertain the risk of another bidder. And why would another bidder wait until now to be burdened with the extra costs .

Thats rubbish , it isn't poker or chess the best chance of a rival bidder winner winning is to contact the board as soon as they are in position to bid. Its not an auction .

Whats to ex plain there is only one bidder who has recently put a proposal to the board , the board are in favour .

If another bid came on board there is absolutely no reason to be hostile all they would need to do is offer more money/ better proposal.

Its unlike the current Wbd proposed takeover by paramount where they have made 3 bids and all have been rejected by the board so the idea was they were going to go hostile .Unfortunately for them they have been outwitted by David Zaslav who's now running an Auction.
