Garonne. "Vod is trash" Why don't you admit it, & sell up? Nothing then to moan about?? You just love moaning, don't you?? Garonne the moan. Why can't you leave vod to those who support it?? You are very sad., just admit it!

Forthemogg. Good on you. Keep buying is my advice, just stop moaning. Only buy if you can afford to lose, but if you do lose accept it & don't whinge like a baby who has lost a dummy.

Narcus. I know that the vod sp was about 2.40 just before the verizon sale, so vod has performed very badly since. So if you had predicted that at the time, that would be foresight, but to realise it now is hindsight. I held vod shares at the time, & kept the verizon shares for a while, selling at a small profit. I don't know where you get 84 billion £ for a 45% sale of verizon from, thus making verizon worth about £200 billion before the sale, but I will take your word for that? But of course as usual, you are completely missing the point. Vod made big mistakes in the past, but it is the future that matters now, so is sacking yet another C.E.O. going to work. Many on here called for Nick Read to be sacked, but that did not work (so far) so how many C.E.O's do they have to sack before people realise that just sacking C.E.O.'s does not work. Vod's main problem is massive competition, so not easy to solve, & just moaning & whinging is of course not the answer.

Fogthemogg. So would I , because they never reached £5 +. They did however reach about £4 to £4.20, so I do get your point. The fall was due to the Mannesman dissaster, so a genious with a crystal ball would have done well. Hindsight is worth a lot of money.

PRK1 I agree 100% just sacking C.E.O.'s is not going to work. Just a kneejerk reaction.

So rob, what price did you buy Lloyds at? At 25p fantastic, But over 5 years the sp is down, As I have said before , we can all come up with winners in retrospect? Good luck though with Lloyds. Vod hit 2.50 t0 3.50. in the past, & then crashed, but Lloyds? Who knows? Just don't say red, unless you are a bully!

Thank you fleccy. At last you admit your investment in vod is losing. What has Lloyds got to do with it? I made money on other shares in the past, but that has nothing to do with vod. But if you are right & all the money I have lost on vod is just noise, & I end making a profit, then I will thank you again. You sound pleased to be losing on vod, just to save on cap gains tax. Sorry but that does not make sense? Talk to you accountant is my advice. Have a good week.

Unluckyinvestor. If sell a share investment today with a 5% gain, as long as your divi's are equal or above inflation, then you have made a profit.

Hello rob. I think you are flogging a dead horse. Nothing would please me more than fleccy being proved right by saying my losses are just noise. If only they were. But I know & you know they are real. But I may end up making all my losses back, so I won't be selling anytime soon. Some people when they are losing go into a state of denial. I think fleccy is in the red with vod, the same as me. Ohh, I mentioned that naughty word, ref Mikey. Have a good week all vod shareholders.

Sorry fleccy, but I think it is fair to say you have more of a long term faith in vodafone (what ever), than me? I take it day by day . I hope that you & me are not blind.
