Hi fleccy. Of course you are right, but I can't help slightly! admiring someone who can take so much stick,(some of which has been so childish (size of his winky etc) on the chin. At least he doesn't call us all bullies! Of course he is an egotistic, big headed idiot, but at least he doesn't moan & whinge all the time?

Sorry rob, In answer to your question, I don't think you should short or long any share unless you know something that the market doesn't. It is like gambling with a bookie. On average you will lose about 5 to 10% in the long run. For every winner, there is a loser. So with the profit the brokers/bookmakers make the winners make 95% but losers lose 105%. The 10% diff is there profit. If you fancy a gamble though it's easy to do, just google financial spread betting & open an account. Don't go there is my advice though, but it could be fun?? Only though if you are very positive.

Hi rob. I have never shorted a share, & although I don't really approve of it, I don't have a problem with those who do it. I have however shorted Bitcoin, but did not get my timing right so lost a small amount. I tried to re open an account later so I could short bitcoin when they were about 60k each,but it was very difficult to do so with the restrictions on crypto spread betting, but could have made a fortune if I had, had the patience & the balls, because it was so obvious to me that bitcoin were, & still are, of course totally worthless, but the bitcoin price is totally rigged, so I might have ended up very rich, or gone crazy with sleepless nights, as the bitcoin market is almost 24 hours. Anybody who thinks the stock market is rigged, just look at crypto currency. A ponzi investment. You are better off with a tulip bulb, than a bitcoin, eventually far more pretty?!

Hello Gary. I just wondered with Porsche's latest damming, sub 80p prediction, whether you still agree with him?, or is he just someone, who thinks he can de ramp the share price? Is he shorting? or is he just trying to be a smart arse? If he has been shorting vod, then hats off to him, but if not then I suspect he is just an immature egotist? Cheers.

I was just making the point that the vod divi is paid in euro's not dollars as Faicj stated, (big difference at the moment) & also trying to keep party politics out of all of this, because that is when you all start spitting your dummies, instead of being positive. Fleccy. & others. Do you think the sale would add 13.2p to the share price? I don't think so. Surely it is a very valuable asset that vod should keep, otherwise why are the potential buyers so keen to buy it.

Hello Evanescent. Do you really think that if everybody filtered Mikey he would simply vanish. He has said in the past that he wants to be filtered, & if everybody did that, he would just continue posting & talking to himself. I can only assume it would make him feel empowered somehow.
