Am I being unreasonable in expecting the company to give Shareholders an approximate timescale for the investigation to be completed? Investigations over the years have ranged from a few days to 2 or 3 years. As I said, an approximate timescale is not asking too much. Shareholders can then choose whether to buy, sell or hold our Shares. After all, we are the "customer".
Please don't shoot me down! I'm not that good at interpreting the wording in these Business related issues!
Are the recent RNS releases regarding "International Paper Company", good news or bad news for investors?
Can anyone describe in very simple terms, what these RNS releases are about?
I am a MAN Group shareholder.
That I had the nerve not to log in for the next 2 years and then see where we are!!!!
Sadly, I can't!
My problem is that I have tinkering fingers and might sell well before the peak and probably miss out on any Takeover/Merger.
My problem I know!
Good luck everyone.
Scottysh.
I don't think he is saying that. He just raises a genuine viewpoint of his own.
I am sure he wishes us to run the business well and make profits. His comment, in my opinion, was not intending to deramp but to create a possible new discussion point.
However, I agree that your comment is very valid, regarding its possible implications.
Thanks Bellers. I understand now. Good luck and very best wishes.
Bellers.
I am a very long term holder. I too, share your enthusiasm. However, your note reads that you are planning to put ALL your pension into Zoe. With the greatest of respect to you, please take Independent Financial Advice before making a decision like that. To other Zoe correspondents on here, please don't shoot me but I think Bellers needs to be more cautious with his proposed retirement savings.
That's uncanny! Messages crossed. RNS released.
I could be wrong. I am not completely up to date with the rules and regulations of releasing sensitive information. However, I thought that when a share price jumps consistently over a few days, the Company has to say whether they know why the increase has occurred or not. If they have no idea of why there has been an increase, then they should say so. The opposite also applies ie if there has been an approach or some other explanation for the sudden increase, then again should they not say so? Obviously, the Company will know the rules better than me and I bow to the professionalism of this excellent team.
Thanks Max and JFK
Sorry!. Wrong board.
Max. Where are you seeing over 9p paid? Thanks.
Seems Sapia now hold over 7% of the company from today's RNS. Strange that the SP has fallen a little. I would have thought it would have risen slightly. I can't help thinking that something is "brewing" with IKA.
Interesting day so far. I have long thought that IKA was ripe for an approach from a larger Tech giant. Volume is higher than recent days/weeks. Are there any rumours around?
All quiet on here (understandably) but just wondered if there are any snippets or rumours regarding the timescale for the completion of the investigation? Basically just want to bring this back to constructive discussion on the board.
Could just do with the volumes of shares being traded to increase. I believe in this share and can see a good future here, especially if the Chinese ventures really bring home some big incomes.
Thank you for that. I hadn't picked that up. Fingers crossed that this doesn't prevent the company from expanding and getting the investment from Private Investors.
A healthy day for "buys" today. Perhaps SP move of around 1p not reflecting the overall balance between buys and sells? This is a company with really good potential but definitely needs news on the Nasdaq application ASAP. I think that I have read that we can expect news on this in the next few weeks. Hope we can see a steady rise here soon.
Thanks Chiefton. That makes more sense to me than the proforma that was used. I have been invested in this share for about 2 months now and recently my Share Club bought into it. Both investments are down and so any institution buying in is very welcome.
I wonder if they know something regarding the Nasdaq application? I'm not very well up on these type of forms that often accompany an RNS. I find it difficult to actually understand what is being said. To be honest my interpretation of this RNS was that the institution had sold some of their holding. It would be clearer if the company put out a short statement saying something like "institution has bought x% more shares in the company and have therefore crossed a particular threshold". My apologies in advance if this seems that I must be academically challenged but the RNS could be clearer and not left to the reader to interpret what is being said.
