'HyperLeach®' Patent Granted in Europe for a Method of Oxidative Leaching of Sulfide Ores and/or Concentrates



Alexander is pleased to report that it has received notification that its MetaLeach Limited ("MetaLeach") subsidiary has been granted a patent for a Method of Oxidative Leaching of Sulfide Ores and/or Concentrates in Europe, patent number 2435590.

Metaleach has initiated the process of validating the patent in Germany, Poland and Turkey. These member states were identified as key jurisdictions that represent opportunities for the HyperLeach® process. MetaLeach anticipates that the patent will be validated in these individual member states, providing an effect patent term of 20 years from the effective date of 26 May 2010 (being the date of original filing).



The patent describes a method for leaching one or more target metals from a sulphide ore and/or concentrate containing such.



Martin Rosser, Chief Executive Officer, said: "The technology described in the patent has significant potential application in each of Germany, Poland and Turkey, both for sulphide deposits and for converting sulphide concentrates, the source of the majority of the world's base metals production and resources, through to metal at the mine site."

I know what the rules say, but lets not kid ourselves that they cannot drag out the analysis of these results until there is an update from Yoda. They were due Q3, it seems they have not change the trial to take into account European results so what reason for the delay?

If it came down to it they could reasonably argue the results are irrelevant without the data from Yoda.

That's exactly why I think they will delay until they have more info from Yoda.

Possible but they really shouldn't as the information is already out there. It was stated in the last interview not to hold our breaths for the Jap results as the use of steroids there is similar to here. I think they are probably delaying the release until they have more data back from Yoda to confirm there theory.

This will determine the optimum mechanism of administration to achieve a full biomarker response with first results expected in Q4 2018. The YODA study may also be extended to examine concomitant use of Traumakine and corticosteroids to get final in vivo evidence for corticosteroid interference of interaction activity."

Jap results will have the same issue, it was pretty much confirmed in the last interview.

At least his concern at lack of director buying has been addressed, he will maybe hold past 80p now?

It was a cross trade, not sure if that's significant or if the mm's are just cleaning up there books.

Peel went off the offer at 16.35 putting them on 79p offer with Wins. Possibly something to do with the 2K UT trade at the same time.

"Maruishi will cover all the development costs in Japan in respect of Traumakine®. Faron is to receive a share of Maruishi´s net profits of Traumakine® through milestones, royalties and other payments. To date, Faron has received €2.3 million in milestone payments pursuant to its agreement with Maruishi and is due to receive up to an additional €2.7 million subject to certain key development milestones being met."

Traumakine is already licenced in Japan, we will get a milestone payment probably if it goes to sale and we will get royalty payments. I do not expect we will be able to get a licence deal with anyone else in Japan. That is why I expect the next deal to be Europe or the States.
