FAIR' results suggested to me, that the realisation shares had faired better total return wise than the ongoing shares, and wondered if anyone had any views on such? Uninhibited by ongoing investment (risk), they doing seem to be performing well....

Megla; is it not ironic that you suggest Starmers desire to keep people 'locked' up would be disastrous for the NHS considering the only reason we were initially 'locked' up was not primarily to protect our health, but to protect an a NHS already in intensive care, that would have collapsed, causing civil unrest/govt overthrow.

The two biggest costs impacting UK citizens (housing and fuel costs), are not related to some anonymous world rate rise they are because of the actions (inactions) of the Conservative govt. The former squarely due to Trusses prudent handling of the economy, the latter, albeit exacerbated by Ukraine, being home borne/managed, by the lack of planning by successive Govts of storage, not only of more modern green generation, but pre existing gas storage needs - hence the farce of importing every winter for the last 20 years at three times the summer price, and indeed investing/promoting/harnessing the North sea.

If one is to rationally accept your assertion that Labour are a clown show, on recent governance, that makes the Conservatives a complete circus.

My last political comment, as I'm here for HBR, who I do believe in. Strongly.

Agricore; totally agree with your post. If you want a quick buck, this isn't it, but long term there is immense value here.

When RPS reduce their shareholding materially, then I'll take notice/concern. They don't invest to flip for a margin, they invest for the longer turn, for sustained growth, and their record in this regard is exemplary. I like them, am sitting on a chunky SP loss. Despite this, I like them, haven't sold a single share. Patience will out here.

Agricore; thanks for that post. Wasn't aware of the IC's Alpha IT before - I note it has returned 11% since inception so their parameters must work. Yes interesting to see FAIR at the top of their tree, albeit will never be in their top 10 as it breaks their 'niche' parameter. Always nice to see exposure though.

Keenly awaiting their next update, as bar a poor performing period, at the fixed divvy, they must be building excess cash....

I don't see a growing of completed stock as a concern, as being well capitalised they aren't a distressed seller, so as the economy/market/sentiment improves (the availability of mortgages below the current BOE rate shows the direction here), and they'll gently unload the surplus.

Well everyone's purpose/appetite/understanding
of DEC may differ, and accordingly their stance. I got one consider this high risk and that's from someone who has a number of CLO stocks so hardly blind/frightened of risk.

As for being one of the lowest risk in the o&g sphere, well, therein a concern for me - it's not really an o&g investment. It's a leveraged debt/financial trading investment.

Commentary from the latest factsheet highlighted that European corporate defaults were at very low levels which is reassuring. Also of note is their trading up the credit quality to 'improve the overall credit quality of the portfolio as we move into an environment with potential for elevated credit stress'.........

Seatanks; thanks as ever your valued contributions. The MD video.....a few things as struck me there...

The MD's interview wasn't western media trained and hence jolted a bit, but what struck me was both the first second face of frustration/disappointment/disbelieve when asked to respond, and his latterly emphasise on corporate governance which he drove home well.

I always wonder when I see a not insignificant number of people protesting, whether there night actually be something to the smoke, as I did here, countenanced by my view that this is actually a protest at concerns over the Government, governance, lack of oppurtunities/employment etc that has hijacked the success that Seplat is, to garner a greater audience. I think the post on Seplat women actually talks the truth. Yes a company will encourage such PR wise, but notwithstanding such doesn't mean having walked the horse to water it will drink so so wholeheartedly. It talks of a governance that so threatens the status quo, of riches for the few and impoverishment for the many.

I'm all for protest, I think in history it has created great benefit..in this instance it's faux protest to protect the unsustainable status quo that Seplat threatens.
