George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
It’s a shame your not happy with the results but what matters most is that the market clearly is and so are the majority of the people on here
This is the same market that wiped loads off of cards value but clearly now realise the error of their ways
And that’s all that counts when all is said and done
I’ve always rated BBC Dramas but have to say that ITV are definately getting better. Just watched Grace with John Simm, there’s the thief his wife and the canoe with Eddie Marston and recently watched the spy thriller The Ipcress files. All 3 have big names in them and are brilliant
Now you guys on this board can go on all you like about getting rid of watchherchops but great TV brings in Advertising revenues which in turn brings in profits
Isn’t that what this should all be about ?
Do not understand the drop, if you was going to sell then surely that would of been at the last significant increase and not once the price had stabilised
Tesla’s share price is based on the potential they have maybe in the future as are a lot of tech stocks
Yet Boo’s price is based not on what they have done or what they will do when all these issues are sorted but right here and now
It really is just all made up by people with big fiddle fingers
We know the Boo model works, as it is proven
We know from ASOS trading update the customers are still buying
So ignore the price and just hang in there
It’s only a game show and we will have our big break
The sad thing is they must have a product and a product that does what it says on the tin, just (it seems) an inability to be able to produce it
Spoons is a great business and the stigmatism of being an old man’s pub has long gone
As beers go up in price then Spoons will keep winning new clients,
Next TU will be very interesting to see how they are really holding up in terms of pints pulled
We all know margins will be hurt but is the turnover being affected ? I personally don’t think so
You say that and it does make sense but what doesn’t make sense is that when the pubs were shut Spoons share price was over 20% higher
The rise is just and fair, it had been held down due to the markets thinking they would raise money by dilution shares. That dilution would of been between 25-30%
Also the markets will now be building in a positive trading statement on May 3rd so it should continue up
The drop may come if results not how market assumes they will be but we’ve all been here before and will just mean a longer wait
No need to do any of that selling nonsense just yet
About time and we’ll deserved as this is a great business
I bought in to this business as their customer service is great, their pricing is bob on and with having so many shops out of city centres will pick up business from the new work from home brigade. A long way to go for me to break even but it all hopefully starts today
I would personally say based on their accounts, advertising revenue was very healthy and cost of living crisis or not that is going to continue. In fact one could argue that this share is more likely to go up then down. The sector will quite rightly be spooked by the Netflix numbers but ITV’s main revenue streams are advertising and production so not affected by subscription cancellations.
Their new ITVX (or whatever it is called) is largely financed from previous profits keeping debt down so they may be in the same sector but are a different model
You can deramp it all you like
Or you can be in the ramp it up camp
People enjoy watching TV and I personally think that having apple, Disney, Netflix, Amazon all fighting for that space will have people cancelling all subscriptions. I want to watch Ozark but subscribe to Apple. I want to watch slow horses but subscribe to Disney. The more times a program comes up you want to watch but can’t as you subscribe to a different provider will ultimately send people back to good old fashioned terrestrial TV
I can’t see there’s a lot that will drag this down and hopefully momentum slowly builds until the next quarter update end of June, would of thought most that wanted a quick profit would be out by now so it should just be buy buy buy
I get that about profits but at pre covid profit this share was around £14-£15, a positive trading statement based on turnover should surely see this get back to last years levels of £10+ ? And other then the rights issue (which is not extra debt) I didn’t think Spoons has taken on more debt ?
Market sentiment is dragging everything down, until Spoons release a positive RNS the assumption will be a negative one. If you believe then hold or even buy more, with people having less pounds to spend will they stay at home this year instead of going abroad ? That will boost Spoons profits. Spoons bottom line will be affected, that they can’t escape but I think they will pull just as many pints as the did pre covid
If and when product comes then this will fly,
Invested here around 4 years ago as bought in to it massively and whilst very disillusioned with how those 4 yrs have played out i am still hopeful
I need 12p to break even here. Would of thought that impossible but HMI were down below 2p not too long ago and they are now close to my 18p break even so my hope has been restored
Meant JD’s half year report
Cards trading statement reads a lot more positive then JD Wetherspoons full year report and yet Card went down on this and JD slightly up. I hold both but the city (or whomever plays with price) clearly has a downer on Card
Have every faith this will come good
Trading for the last 3 weeks only being 2.6% below pre pandemic is very promising, lots of bad news out there continually which could of affected that figure a lot worse
Be interesting to see if the cost of living increases will encourage more to staycation again this year
I don’t think he meant to add “significant volumes”, just “we are looking forward to beginning to produce coalswitch”
Is an absolute winner by ITV, one of the best things I have seen on tv for a very long time. More dramas like this will get viewing figures up
