Several commentators are also very bullish regarding copper prices in the long term (more than gold / silver etc). This also helps the cause.

Yep, seems there has been more than a few car crash moments along the way but SOLG have managed to create a huge asset which can be realised at a time when the globe is desperate for it.

The last SOLG ProActive presentation was on the 1st July '21 (interim CEO Keith Marshall).

Considering the un-seating of Mather, a new CEO joining the Company should be headline news.
What did we get - a bizarre AGM presentation and nothing more.

There has been a consensus on this BB that Cuzzebbo is not CEO material - he is not. This plays into the theory that he has been brought in specifically to head up the Alpala project.............

It does take me back to my earlier point though - if no deal has been struck & it's business as usual, why the hell have we not heard a whisper from Cuzzebbo? it is odd at the very least and at best he is having to keep stum because the wheels are in motion.

You make very valid points, but I do not think Cuzzebbo was brought in to negotiate the bid / take over.

IMO he was brought in specifically to manage the Mining of Alpala, under the instruction of BHP.
Having headed up Olympic Dam project he is the perfect fit. I suggest a back room deal has been done months ago - as to why he is brought in under SOLG at this time I cannot answer, but the BHP connection is very telling.
Maybe this leads to a JV & not buy-out?

This is what give me the greatest assurance that an offer is being negotiated with BHP (IMO).

Cuzzebbo has now been officially in the roll for 5 weeks now. As the CEO of a Company worth somewhere between £1 – 3 billion, he should of at least by now done a quick interview on Pro-active (or similar) introducing himself & outlining plans for the future. These plans could have been very vague if required.

However, if a deal (JV or buy-out) is being negotiated with BHP it would be a bit silly to one week state that SOLG is to become a mining major and the following week SOLG is bought-out.

His silence speaks volumes…………..

Great to see such positive sentiment on the BB. I must admit when the SP drifts down I do get a bit nervous, but just repeatedly reminding myself that SOLG has a fantastic asset which needs digging up (soon please!).

Col. Drake has PROMISED us all (at least 5 times) that there would be a buy-out in Jan, so just 24 days to go.................!!

Agreed that your knowledge on the subject is far greater than most, but remember that we are all rolling the dice here. I have had a great year making 100% profit (paper!) and I know jack regarding the market.
So my wish is that you chill by 5% and the audience will luv u 100% more. If / when we hit the jackpot we all need to be celebrating together.
