i fully agree that 'scaling up at pace is disruptive' - very much so. we are in the design phase - not construction. these two disciplines differ greatly.
without the technical know-how we are ******* in the wind - but g mining seem to have earned their stripes. one of their first tasks would have been to appoint project directors with the requisite skill-set.
doubling workforce: i made this point on my previous post. 90% of the management team i am working with are new to the company and are pretty high calibre. there is not a company on the planet who have the workforce sitting in place awaiting for the next big thing.
we are carving up a mountain here not constructing the 'the line' in saudi for example (probably the most ridiculous concept ever conceived). yes, there are major complexities involved, hence the reason to bring in block caving specialists.
regarding the question 'have i gone from working o a $500m project to $2b project', the answer is no. have i gone from £50m projects to £200m projects the answer is yes.
i suggest that scotty's downfall was that he did not comprehend / cope with the seismic shift required to progress the subject once the streaming deal landed.
let's hope the new cohort are up to the challenge.
