Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
The 'rumour' was them buying out the existing additional rights. Suggests anything not in the 'old' mine plan. So San Gabriel, Buenavista or Megalit IMO.
Whilst I agree they may want to exploit Ganfengs expertise, (they may already have secured it by not challenging or taking back the current concessions) but the Mexican Govt is trying to get bilateral agreements with Bolivia and Chile regarding Lithium extraction and production.
You used their 'nationalist agenda' which would imply taking back control or buying something outright from a private company.....'nationalisation'.
I just can't see a nationalist agenda being satisfied by Mexico becoming a minority JV partner to the Chinese.
That's not nationalisation though, that's buying into a private company lol, (may as well buy shares in Ganfeng).
IMO there's been a reason the government haven't been forthcoming in granting title rights for the Megalit concession, this could be it!
@TC, "now here’s another thought… what if msb… la ventana… is the surplus… not mexilit/megalit…
The Megalit concession is held under MSB until it gets 'Title approval'.
Depends on the aspirations of the Mexican Govt....if they were to buy our 30% stake, they would become minority holders in a JV with no say or control over the asset.
I'd like to see them buy Ganfengs 70% stake in Megalit say and trigger our drag along and tag along rights. Options ;-)
Special thanks to those providing feedback from the AGM.
Don't know why KM answered a question about phase 1 with a figure from phase 2 lol. Phase 1 was 17500 tons pa for 5 years, phase 2 was 35000 tons pa . Obviously under BCN's DFS...will Ganfeng exclude us altogether under their own DFS with a view to buying it off us cheaply....if we want to play devils advocate that is. All to play for and fair game at the mo.
Of course we have options @Obs, I get it lol...but just stating a higher value NPV does not equate to an increased sp.
Btw..the accumulation going on down here is very interesting...looks like the MM's have pinned us down until their full lol...if I was at home I'd post the volume price profile ;-)
Sounds great on paper @Obs, but we've had a US$30M NPV attributable to us for over 4 years now and we can't even get that piddling amount reflected in our sp lol.
As an investment company NPV valuations don't seem to matter to our sp (or they haven't to date) we need cashflow from the project or sale of the asset.
Lol @EV, sounds like you've been reading one of my previous posts....

An Investment company that after 9 years hasn't once rewarded shareholders through dividends, share buy backs or increasing SP value from profits made (re-investment) doesn't sound very good does it ;-)
The strategy is not working - after 9 years of investing money raised they still need to carry out placings to fund further opportunities lol!"
